you may try another kind- I am on Levora (same as Levlen) and it does not have any (for me) of those side effects. I used to hve problems when I was on a tri-phasic (three levels of hormone during the cycle) but when I went to this mono-phasic (only one same dose all month long) I saw the sympptoms disappear.
It also has the side bonus of being able to delay or skip your period if you want to, you just start a new pack on the day you finish the active pills in your old pack (without going through the week of placebo pills.)0 -
I got the Mirena IUD implanted about 8 weeks after my son was born. I only gained 15 pounds with my pregancy after he was born and the swelling was all down. But 2 years later I put on 45-50 pounds ON TOP of that weight. Ugh! I had the major munchies when I was breastfeeding. I wish I had made beetter choices. Much on healthy foods, fruit, veggies etc... Good luck0
