My starting weight was 181 (on July 8) and last Saturday morning I weighed myself at 151. I have been doing pretty good so far until this weekend. On Saturday I had a big mac and pizza and a few rum and diet cokes and yesterday was just as bad. When I weighed myself this morning, the scale said 159 ! Can it be possible to gain 8 pounds in two days ?

lol no no, 8lbs is 3500*8 calories = 28,000... you couldn't eat that much over your daily allowance in 2 days if you tried
it's probably just water from excessive sodium intake or something0 -
Unfortunately, I believe it is possible.
The foods you mention are high is salt and sugar content. You maybe retaining water. When this happens to me it normally settles after a few days of your normal healthier diet. Over time (possibly a week) it should even out.0 -
It's the sodium and you're retaining water.
I once gained 12 pounds OVER NIGHT!!!

This sort of variation is one of the reasons I try only to weigh myself once every two weeks. As the other posters have said, you're probably retaining water, possibly because of the high sodium content of the foods you had at the weekend, but also possibly for other reasons - we're female, our bodies do that! Don't panic, and try not to weigh in again for a week or so.0

chill, weight varries day to day. wether you weighed yourself after eating, exercise or drinking. after eating a peanut butter n bannana sandwhich, (only thing from 8 am to 5 pm) the scaled decided to tell me i gained 12 pounds. i think of it as one of those Mayhem commericals.0
