MFP automatically set my sugar goal to 24 g

Is this too low?
because for breakfast I had a scoop of Total soy meal replacement in 1 cup of 2% milk with a Tablespoon of Peanut butter
and I am already over my sugar for the day

I always go over my suger but I don't worry about it because I know it's coming from fruits and veggies and not soda and ice cream :)

I try to keep processed sugars low and natural sugars like fruit I don't count
  • I always go over mine too. I think as long as you are not going way over, and when you do go over you are getting it from healthy things and not candy bars, you should be ok.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just use common sense. I can eat a few servings of fruit and be over in sugar. Almost everything has sugar.

Remember, there is good sugar and bad sugar.

I think it's a common problem - I'm always over, mostly due to fruit consumption. As long as your diet isn't full of refined sugars I wouldn't worry too much.

It's 10:40 and I've already gone over mine for the day by 4. I'll still enjoy another honeycrisp apple and carrots for lunch. Pretty sure I'll have something for dinner that will add to my daily total as well. I don't limit natural sugars.

What I do try and keep under control is my sugar from processed foods.

Ugh! I had a bowl of cheerios with skim milk and a banana and I'm already over on my sugar. I keep reading posts that say don't worry about it. However, I know one of my biggest issues is sugar and that I need to get this under control if I'm going to make any real progress. Can you all give me some suggestions for quick, easy snacks that are staples in your diet that are low in sugar?
