I love my CrockPot and am so excited it's the time of year I can use it again!

allrecipes.com has a great section that's nothing but Slow Cooker recipes and I found two of my favorites there: Chicken Taco Soup (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/slow-cooker-chicken-taco-soup/detail.aspx) and It's Chili by George!! (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/its-chili-by-george/detail.aspx). I add extra veggies to each and freeze them in single serve containers.

I made one of my grandma's recipes but more healthy--see my blog for the recipe heirloomrecipe.blogspot.com Some of the 365 days of slow cooking are also low fat and very healthy as well!

I busted it out yesterday for some Asian Sesame Country Style Pork Ribs. They turned out great. Good thing I did my P90X in the morning.I always do my real ribs on the smoker, but I felt the Crock Pot would work great for the Country Style ones.

I use my slow cooker all the time!!! I'm a single gal so having dinner ready for me when I get home is a big plus!

A few days ago I made come really good chicken and I'm still eating off of it days later...

Take a bag of boneless skinless chicken breasts, cook on low in the crock pot overnight on low in chicken stock, add rosemary freshly ground black pepper and minced garlic to taste... I've found that the longer chicken stays i the crock pot, the better it tastes as long as you keep enough liquids in the pot too... shred the chicken and use for anything you like, chicken Alfredo, Chicken tacos, or my go to... feta, hummus, spinach and chicken wraps.

It also makes amazing pulled pork... not as healthy as the chicken... but all things in moderation... take a pork loin, make a dry rub mixture of adobo, black pepper, cumin, brown sugar and Good seasons dry italian dressing mix... coat it on all over pretty thick, put in the crock pot overnight on low with about 1/2 inch of water all around and about 3 beef bullion cubes in the bottom... shred in the morning add more water if necessary, and some sweet baby ray's bbq sauce... yum!

I make all kinds of soups in the crock pot as well...

Nachos for parties, I love it!
