Hi everyone,
I am a 23 year old mother to 3 year old twins and a little boy who is nearly 2!After the twins I joined weight watchers and lost 20kgs effortlessly in 3 months.
After my son was born I suffered severe Post natal depression - didn't realise until I went to the doctors after a meltdown when he was 12 months old.Since then I have gain so much weight that my highest weigh-in was nearly 104 kgs.

I am having an extremely difficult time shifting the weight this time around and I think I developed an addiction to food which I am now JUST starting to get under control.

It was so easy the first time round that it has scared me that I will stay this weight because it just doesn't want to budge!

Hi Tennille, you've made a good decision getting onto this site, it works and it's free and there's no gimmicks. You might like to search for young mums' groups to chat with women who are in the same situation as you. Many of us have had kids and stacked on the weight, it is not a life sentence, with persistence you will be able to lose it. Please don't fall for the quick loss BS. Chat with your doc and start some good exercise (plenty of ideas here about how to fit it in around little children). All the best.

I had post partum depression too and I took antidepressents which caused me to gain (more) weight. I wish you well on your journey.

    Slow and steady.

A lot of my friends have been to WW seems to me they don't focus on maintenance enough.

Sure, shoot to lose .5k/wk. but make that your target and give yourself a range.
Figure out what the maintenance calories are for your goal weight, as long as you're under that you'll get there eventually.

Figure out you maintenance calories for you current weight you're not allowed to get mad at yourself or frustrated unless you go above that number.

Yes, it'll be slow, but you'll be teaching yourself how to eat for the long-term.
