This time I mean it!

I've been chubby my whole life. I don't have a dramatic story or anything, just sort of always been this way, ranging from slightly to very chubby. I think because I've always been chubby, it's something that I've just accepted, and frankly, I'm sick of it! For years and years I've always made a half-assed attempt to lose weight. I got to the gym a few days a week, and over the years have slowly migrated from spaghetti-os and lean pockets to organic veggies and whole grains, but never saw a difference. Last summer I made (another) half-assed attempt at weight watchers, but I only used the online tools (the meetings were a bit much for me) and I wasn't able to stick with it.

I think because I only have 20ish lbs to lose I've always thought it wasn't a big deal, and I didn't have to make a 'real' effort at it. This time around I really really really want to be serious, and do this for real. I've been reading through the various posts and blogs, and the support in this community is amazing.

I joined this community a while ago, but didn't actually start using it until the other day. I'm hopeful that with some support I'll FINALLY be successful.

Keep your focus and your commitment ans you will achieve your goals.
I was reading today that people who write down what they eat in a diary have a 50% higher success rate in obtaining their weight loss goals and keeping the weight off.
