I have been on my journey for almost 4 months and I have lost 22lbs, good but not great! The last couple of weeks I have slacked off on going to the gym and have gotten off schedule. I want to loose 150lbs by Feb. 2010 I know that is a big goal but I want to at least get close. At this rate its not going to happen!! I think what I need is someone that isn't going to lie to me and say "good job" when I could have done better. I need to have a reason to come here and keep a check on things, I guess what I am saying is that I need someone to hold me accountable. A MFP partner??? If there is anyone who would like to be partners to help keep the motivation up, I would love that!!!

Just coming into the message boards, reading, commenting, starting topics helped me out a lot in the beginning. Log your food & exercise, then come play in here for a minute. Tell someone what you did today. Comment on someone else's problems/successes. Good luck!

Actually 22 pounds in four months is very good. You're right in between losing a pound and two pounds a week, which is the healthiest way to go. It's good to have an overall goal in mind, but if you get through each day thinking, "I've gotta lose 150 by next year" it's going to become a very daunting goal. I suggest you set mini goals through out the year to meet and leave your overall goal as just a way to gauge your mini goals.
