Has anyone found something that satisfies a chocolate craving but doesn't completely screw my snacking calorie allotment?

dark chocolate is fine. Get the highest percentage of cocoa you can, you wont need much to satisfy a chocolate craving and a couple of small squares per day is actually good for you as it is full of antioxidants.
Try this method - if you crave chocolate, walk to the shop to get it. Make sure the walk is at least a km there and back.
Buy expensive, handmade chocolate that you debate whether you should spend your money on. Savour it and walk home.
If you still want chocolate, repeat the process. It's only so long before it becomes a bit of an effort to get it, and you're burning it off as you go anyway!
Last time I did that I ended up walking off the chocolate craving and came back with a punnet of strawberries instead0 -
A piece of dark chocolate... that's a SMALL piece
Jell-O has some chocolate pudding desserts that are also tasty and not too bad for you... and Klondike Slim-A-Bear ice cream sandwiches only have 100 calories as well, but that will satisfy a chocolate AND ice cream craving for me! Aldi has a cheaper version that tastes delicious too!
Or there's always a good old Fudgesicle... yum0 -
Dark chocolate
Smart One sundaes
Skinny Cow
Weight Watcher cones

to get my chocolate craving fix....I am eating fiber one brownies...one per day as a snack...I am getting the added benefit of fiber. I don't know what your snack allotment is but they are 90 calories....and I am trying to eat only 1300 calories per day. hope this helps0

I like the dark chocolate and it only takes one small square to get your fix.0

Something like a kitkat, or a 99cal sweet such as maltesers or toffee crisp biscuit0

dark chocolate chips.... a half of a tablespoon would be 35 cals... just a little taste, but you can let them metl in your mouth, and they taste better then more sugar filled chocolate...to me anyhow... also the Emerald Cocoa Roast Dark Chocolate 100 cal pack are great! They have cocoa powder on them, and get the crunchy and slightly sweet cravings taken care of0

Skinny Cow! Love the fudge bars.
Yea Dark Choc is best, so many antioxidants too.0 -
As long as your snacking calorie allotment is > 50 calories, you should be able to fit in at least a small piece of chocolate.0

Chocolate isn't bad for you! Dark chocolate is GREAT! At about 55kCal a square its rich in antioxidants and will help relase endorphins...savour some with a black espresso coffee continental style... 85% will suffice...any higher and it's a little too bitter, dry and crumbly... loses its enjoyment for not much extra nutritional gain.
I used to do a lot of confectionary specialising with chocolate... 80-85% ideal... some even can come with flavours like orange and chilli in for no extra claories... divine... plus chilli SUPPOSED to be thermogenic!0 -
Cereal bars Be careful though because some of them are full of sugar!0

organic dark chocolate is a great option
cocoa camino has 'mini bars' that are individually wrapped w/ 25 calories each
or theobroma is a great brand too - mini bars have flavours like chocolate w/ raspberry or espresso chunks - 45 cals each!0 -
Something like a kitkat, or a 99cal sweet such as maltesers or toffee crisp biscuit
Oh yes...and kinder mini treats (12.5g) are only 75calories and can be broken in to tiny squares and last longer by savouring!
Blue riband wafer only 99kCal too... loads of stuff out there...
also Weetabix oaty bars (with drizzles of chocloate on) are only 79kCal and low GI and tasty and filling ish for a small sweet snack!0 -
Pure Protein Smore bar!0

I'm in the dark choc camp as well...real chocolate that it!!...extra tip is break up the bar as soon as you buy it and wrap each piece in cling film then freeze them. Eat straight from the freezer..they melt soooo slowly and you get all the taste for so much longer.0

i just have a snack size chocolate bar or a smaller amount, always around 90 cals tops most around 70. lifes too short not to have chocolate :0) i dont deny myself anything on a diet just in moderation and exercise some of it out!0

A hot, rich, dark mocha beverage for 30 calories or less.
A cup of hot black coffee with 1/2 tablespoon of cocoa powder (5 calories) and EITHER 1/2 tablespoon real sugar (23 calories) or artificial sweetener.
And by cocoa powder, I mean unsweetened cocoa powder (like for baking) and NOT hot cocoa mix or nestle quik. I use real sugar because I don't care for artificial sweeteners, but I shared this with a friend who says it works fine with splenda.
It's very chocolately and just a little sweet. Kind of like dark chocolate or bittersweet chocolate.
Because it's hot, you have to sip it ... which makes it last longer and is more satisfying.0 -
Another one for the I eat chocolate when I'm craving chocolate group. The key is just to have a small amount of your favorite chocolate. I admit to occasionally having a Skinny Cow ice cream bar every once in awhile, but all of the fake sugars and artificial sweeteners in most "diet" chocolate snacks leave a sticky aftertaste in my mouth and it makes the treat much less of one.
Whereas one or two pieces off of a decadent dark chocolate bar I can savor in small bites that I let melt on my tongue and coat my mouth with rich, velvety delicious and that lingers in a sinful way in your mouth even once it's all gone.0 -
Sugar free Jello brand pudding......60 calories. Satisfies the craving every time!0

This ISN'T a substitute for chocolate - however, taking magnesium tablets will help to stop you from craving chocolate.0

I like the dark chocolate idea.
Also fruit I find is a good way to satisfy my sweet tooth, especially things like strawberries!0 -
Chocolate rice cakes are yummy and low cal.0

I suggest skipping the low-cal, diet type foods when you are in the mood for chocolate. I agree with the ones who recommend dark chocolate, the real thing. This is because its strong enough to ward off the craving. Also, try combining the chocolate with nuts in a snack or treat. A lot of times, you crave chocolate because your body is looking for nutrients in fat. The nuts can help ward off your cravings as well by giving your body the healthy, monosaturated fat it's looking for.0

Try Chocoperfection, a low carb/low calorie option. You can find it on the Netrition website. Each bar can be broken into 5 pieces and each piece is 39 calories. I have one piece after lunch most days, it satisfies my choco-craving, and one bar lasts a full work week.0

I really like the jello sugar free chocolate fudge pudding. I make it with skim milk and it is amazing! I also really like the Slimfast peanut butter crunch bars to, they taste just like a butterfinger!0
