Hi everyone my name is Sabrah. I am currently going through my teen years still and I am on the depo shot to prevent pregnancy. The shot has made me gain a lot of extra weight. I have gone from 174 - 188.5 in about 3 weeks. For me that is a lot of weight and is kind of depressing. I have always been a heavier girl ever since I was little, but I have never in my life been anywhere close to this weight. I am very worried about not only be comfortable in my own skin (which I'm not) but my health. Being this weight at my height is not healthy. I could gain diabetes, heart problems, or any other weight related health problems. That is scary, and I don't want to be scared. I don't want to live my life in fear, or uncomfortable. I am uncomfortable, and I am scared. I am uncomfortable; every day i wake up to go to school I love to do my makeup and hair, but i dread getting dressed because things just don't fit right anymore. So now I'm going to lose it!

I would really love to connect with girls or even guys that are my age and going through the same struggles. So add me I would love to talk with anyone. I'm a good listener and i would love to also have someone that will listen to me. Thank you! Add me!

    At 32 yrs old I am no where near your age but I know where you are coming from on that Depo shot. I used it for 5 yrs and gained 100 lbs. I too have always been heavy even in my teen years. Have you discussed with your doctor alternative Birth Control?

    Hey I had the same problem on birth control I gained like 30 pounds in 6 months. You might want to consider the paraguard IUD it doesn't use hormones and is the only kind I've found that doesn't make me feel out of wack, and I can actually loose weight on it.

    Thank you everyone :D i'm already feeling welcome :D and i'm looking at that birth control and i think i'm going to really think about that one.
