I need a budget friendly idea for protein shakes. Is there a good one out there you'd recommend buying or have any ideas of easy to make ones?

I use a large, thick, 28oz glass mug (baller status) and an immersion blender because they're classy.
Contents depend on the time of day and circumstance, but all involve the protein powder itself and ice cubes.0 -
what kind of powder do you suggest? sometimes I have a hard time with them cause they don't taste good to me ...0

I use UNJURY protein, one shake in the morning and one in the evening. It comes in Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, and Chicken Soup flavors.0

i stick protein powder in my green smoothies. So then there is a serving of veggies a well.
Common recipes i use include:
1 cup spinach or cos lettuce
ice cubes
cup of water
A combo of banana, kiwi fruit, manage, strawberries, raspberries, etc. Basically whatever is in season
natural unflavoured protein powder
whiz up and serve. If you whiz up the green leaves first with the water and ice before adding any of the fruit it gets completely blended. i don't have an expensive blender, actually probably as cheap as it comes and my smoothies come out great.
Otherwise just a simple banana smoothie consisting of skim milk, 1 banana, tsp honey and protein powder s also nice.
And then for just a quick drink i just mix:
Skim milk, protein powder and a few drops of vanilla essence.
Plain or vanilla protein powder is also nice stirred through greek yoghurt.

I use Shaekology because it's not only a protein drink (18 grams of protein), but it's full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidents, and probiotics. You you get a lot for your money.0

I buy myofusion protein powder.. and the chocolate one is absolutely delish!
I then put 6-8 oz of soy milk in a blender bottle, a scoop of protein powder, the wisk ball, and shake. Comes out perfect, and there is no messy blender to clean.0 -
Not all protein powders are created equal... specially when it comes to taste :ohwell: My first protein powder was a Pure Protein 100% Whey Protein - Vanilla Cream Flavor. I loved the taste but it was $16 for 2 lbs. The one that I'm currently using is Eas - 100% Whey Protein Vanilla- not as tasty but I chose this flavor since I have a smoothie every morning. A 5lb bag is only $32.99. I'd buy frozen fruits in bulk like Dole's Frozen Fruit - Tropical Island Blend or Wyman's - Fresh Frozen Wild Blueberries. I'd throw a scoop of whey protein powder with a cup of frozen fruit in my magic bullet cup and breakfast on the go. Try other frozen fruits. I don't have to worry about tossing ice into the mix :drinker:
My old time favorite are freezing ripe bananas and using those for a creamy banana or banana/strawberry smoothie:bigsmile:0
