Pulled Muscle while running?

Well, here is a new, if not desirable milestone for me:
My first exercise related injury.
My lift hip muscle (and I'm sure it is muscle not joint) is killing me. I was doing my cardio last night, intervals on the treadmill (going from a 4.5 jog to 6.5 run for 2 miles, minus warmup and cool down) and did great, until almost the end. I had less than five minutes of intervals to go when my left hip started to hurt. I've had what I believe to be hip flexor issues on that side before, but this was worse. I was so close to the end, so I decided to finish out the intervals and cool down time.
I stretched after too.
But, by the time I got home (a 8 minute drive) I couldn't even walk on it. I've never had it hurt like this.
I have put some Arnica rub on it, and hot water massage. This morning it isn't quite as bad, but I still don't have the full range of motion. I can't walk normally, but have to use a weird motion with my leg out slightly to the left side, and hobble around.
Oh joy.
So, my question is, I know jogging is out for the time being, but would the recumbant bike do any damage? I really don't want to miss any workouts, even if I have to modify them back I still want to get something in, KWIM?

Alas, I can swim like a fish, but have no where to do so.0

hhmmm..it could be your IT Band, you might want to make sure what kind of injury you have before you start another activity0

IT band? I had to look that up. Looks like that could be it. Doesn't seem to require a doctor visit, just care, from what I have read?0
