Feeling Shaky

Feeling shaky today, inside & out. Sort of like when you get pulled over by a cop? Yeah, that's the inside shaky. The outside shaky, I can't even hold my hand still. I don't understand why? Other than all of that, I feel completely fine, no headache, no dizziness, nothing. Has this happen to anyone of you? Do you know what could have caused this?
I've been on business trips and eating out. I'm home today and starting over with the whole "low calories, low sugar" thing. But hasn't been a dramatic change between being home or gone food-wise so far. As far as I know, this is the only change from today from the past week.

I felt like that before and found out I had hypoglycemia. So I have to eat often or my blood sugar drops too low. Hope you feel better.0

The only time I ever feel like this is when I get pulled over by a cop. But I don't feel nervous or guilty. So I'm thinking it has something to do with nutrition? *shrugs* Wish i could figure this out.
I sat/layed down for 30 minute doing nothing but trying to be relaxed, and it didn't help.0 -
I would get like that when I was pregnant. The Dr told me to get in some more protein. I started eating greek yogurt and it helped out a lot. Maybe have some nuts or other source of low-sugar protein and see if that helps?0

I feel like that a lot! I have anxiety though--it's one of my only symptoms. I also feel that way if I drink regular coffee in the morning on an empty stomach. If I drink decaf--I'm fine. Have not always been that way either! Super strange! If it continues though I'd probably get it checked out--doesn't hurt to make sure you are ok!0

That is usually a sign of low blood sugar. Good protein and a good carb with high fiber is good for that.
Sometimes a change in diet will have that affect on a person. When I stopped eating any form of sugar 2 months ago, I felt that way for several days.0 -

It probably is nutrition related, but just to throw this out there. I get panic attacks and that's exactly what it's like. The anxiety of a stressful situation without the stressor.0 -
I get that feeling sometimes -- in my case it's a blood sugar problem. Maybe try eating every few hours today, instead of two big meals?0

Okay, this is going to sound stupid, BUT... Can water cause this?
I NEVER drink water, and today I've already drank over 32oz...
Or here's another change. I've been drinking diet soda like crazy lately, and I haven't drank any soda since last night. Caffine withdrawl? But no headache or anything.0 -

I have a 15 grams of sugar rule that I'm really good about, when I'm away from home I eat whatever that can be 60 grams or so... and today I'm back to my 15 grams. so this could cause it.....It probably is nutrition related, but just to throw this out there. I've never been so stressed as I've been lately. We're trying to buy a business and the people haven't gotten back with us. They've been taking the last month to decided if they want to sell or not and it's been making me crazy stressed....

What you described (inside and outside shaking) was me to a T before I found out I had a hyperactive thyroid. Easy enough to get checked and it will cause a whole heck load of problems if left untreated. I had such a bad tremor in my hands, my friends used to joke that it was from all the diet coke I drank. I could barely read a piece of paper if I was holding it, had to lay it on a flat surface.0

Maybe try to get a bit more sugar into your diet today and then gradually decrease over the next week or two and see if that helps. I've never been diagnosed as hypoglycemic but it runs in my family (always called it "sugar") so I know I need to be careful about eating right or I'll crash like crazy.
If you think it might be stress related, try going for a walk or something like that to see if it calms you down. Sometimes just trying to relax doesn't work because your mind is still spinning but if you can get yourself away and get a bit active to burn off some of the nervous energy, it might help.

I'm a Type-II diabetic on insulin. Try taking something sweet to eat - in Australia we have "jelly beans". Just take 4-5, and see whether you feel less shaky (pick something you don't crave, so you can stop after 4 or 5!). You should notice the difference within 30 minutes.
I also feel like this when I have over-extended myself with exercise, and its not due to the blood-sugar levels (because I have checked them in the past).
Could you be coming down with the 'flu? Over-exaustion from work or other commitments? Are you getting enough sleep? Drinking enough water?0 -
Okay, I've been drinking soda like crazy since the week of Thanks Giving. I haven't had any since yesterday afternoon. I'm starting to think maybe this is a caffeine withdrawal, how do I get rid of it without having caffeine?0

When you say it feels like when a cop pulls you over. Is your heart beating really fast? I know two people who had something called SVT (supraventricular tachycardia) which made the heart beat so fast that they had that anxiety/shaky feeling constantly.0

Not to make light, but when I first read the title I read "Feeling Skanky" . . . that's something all together different.
Keep an eye on it. Could be anxiety (which sometimes will appear in people for no reason at all during stressful times). Also, agree with caffine maybe being an issue if you've recenly changed your intake. If you're trying to cut back, do it slowly.0 -
I have experienced this when I did the first cycle of the 17 day diet... no to low carbs. It usually goes away but it is kind of scary feeling... If it continues tho, you should definately get yourself checked out. Only YOU know your body, and if something isn't right, then it isn't right :happy:0

Could be the withdrawal from sodas. I too have to eat a little something every 3 - 4 hours or my blood sugar will drop. I'll get shaky and even sweaty. If it gets too bad, I'll have to drink 8 oz of orange juice. Hope you feel better soon.0
