On my myfitnesspal app on my droid, it has a category called "net" with a number under it. I'm not sure what it means!

    Okay.

So when I lost 1lb/week my GOAL was 1260.

I worked out and burned 500 calories/day and my NET was 760.

NOT enough to live on so I had to eat back my cals to make it back to the 1260.

It's "net" calories-- e.g., the different between calories eaten and calories used.

For example, if you have a 1500 calorie allowance, and eat 2000 calories, your net calories would be "-500" because you've eaten 500 calories MORE than your allowance. But then you go to the gym and burn 700 calories, now your net is "+200".

The net amount is the amount of calories your body has to fuel it after exercise (doing exercise will bring the net total down as you've burned some off). Most on here will say your net should be no less than 1200 calories a day.

Told you :) ....I always post questions to what I really want to know in the community. You get a greater response from members that aren't nec. on your friends list! Happy posting.

Thanks for the answers. As of right now my net is -297. So that's bad? What do I need to do to make it to the right amount of net calories?
