Well i guess it is under weight loss help... so here goes.
Ever since i started working out, i notice new stretch marks forming O_O i mean i cant deny my old ones but why would new ones coming out as i am loosing inches? Its so frustrating, i dont need new war scars as i have enough from heart surgeries. The weirdest new area is my calves. O_O
So my question is, is there any effective product on the market that actually works against stretch marks? Or any old home made affordable remedies i could try out? How do you deal with your stretch marks?
I thank you in advance because i could rarely come online these days. Thank you for even reading this post.

Go out and buy some vit. E oil. Rub it in daily. Drink tons of water and keep your body hydrated. That's pretty much the only thing that will prevent the stretch marks from forming... cause once they are there, they are there.
Sometimes you get stretch marks once you start to lose weight... I have no clue why, and from the research I've done, doctors don't know too much about it either. Sucks royally, doesn't it? Bad enough we get them going up the scale, we have to get them on the way down too?0 -
Amen! its really annoying that we even get them while loosing weight... sigh... thanks for your reply, i will now go out and buy some cocoa butter oil with vit E. though i am really hoping to lose the exsisting ones too.0

I haven't noticed any new ones since I started losing weight, but my old ones are more noticable.
I don't know if this will help much, but my boyfriend actually likes my stretch marks. He says they look "neat, like tiger stripes." So if it's the attractveness you're worried about, at least you know there are some people who like those little "quirks". :flowerforyou:0 -
And most guys...don't even notice them. My husband didn't even get what cellulite was - and trust me, I am not without a little bit of that. Just because I'm female. Grrr.0

Hi,
I use ANEW CLINICAL Professional Stretch Mark Smoother, I have really bad strech marks from my daughter, I have them down and across. I have tried pretty much everything out there and this is the only thing I have personally found to work.

Funny enough, my ex thought the same... I've always had them, even when I was skinny, just because I grew very rapidly. None of the guys I've dated have ever had a problem with my stripes, and if they have, they've never said a word to me. I even dated a guy who had them himself.
If a guy doesn't like you because of them... you need a new guy. :flowerforyou:0 -
thanks guys for the support and kind words, i made me feel much easier now. I'm doing this because i want to look good to feel good. Haha, i'm a very late bloomer, only recently did i want to be more feminene and prettified myself.0

I hate to be the one to say the bad news but stretch marks are part genetic, not neccasarily preventable. Once you have them you have them. In time they will lighten or some creams can help them lighten. I wouldnt suggest spending money on them. You may have had them prior to the weight loss but now that your skin is changing because of the changes you are making (nutrients, diet) you are noticing them. Generaly strech marks are caused by the stretching of skin and the fibers not being able to stretch as fast as the skin is changing. Drink plenty of water Eat your greens and if you are itching realy bad drink more water!!!!0

I just bought 'bio oil' and am using it specifically on one newer mark on my tummy... I'll let you know how it goes and whether its worthwhile. At the very least it's moisturizing and non-greasy0

I hear tanning makes them not as noticeable.
My boyfriend got them on his shoulders from working out playing Ice Hockey at OSU. They don't make me say ew....so I think you'll be fine. Any guy who doesn't want to be with you because you have them isn't worth your time anway.0 -

My ob/gyn always told me that stretch marks are genetic. If you're going to get them, you're going to get them. No amount of cream or oil or lotion is going to stop it. But who knows, doctors are people too and can be wrong. I do notice my stretch marks look less noticeable after I get a tan but then you have to decide... skin cancer possiblities or stretch marks...0
-
eek, you're right, skin cancer possiblities or stretch marks... however among asians we are doing the opposite, we whiten ourselves, hahahah, how ironic.
the bio oil seems very helpful. i might try some once i finished my small tub of vit e oil. The stretch marks under my breasts and my calves are less noticable after 4 days of applying. I drink more then 2500ml of water and i have a side of fiber drink supplement anyway. All These kind words really brought me comfort, thank you so much0
