This is going to be an interesting week. I seem to be retaining alot of water. I am reducing sodium, and carbs for the rest of the week. Any other suggestions?

Drink more water to get rid of the extra. Divide your weight by two - that's how many ounces a day you should be getting, and that's not even factoring in exercise.

Cardio…, your body will expel the sodium you retain. (…& drink lots of water.)
  • Here's a few ideas to consider. Limit processed foods and focus on fresh and whole foods, unprocessed tends to be out of balance in potassium to sodium ratios. Many real foods naturally have a proper balance, keep an eye on nutritional values. If you remember some basic cell biology, balance is important and limiting sodium less so. Processed foods also have forms of sodium that can be missed, just limit them for various reasons. I drink coconut milk, coconut water and use it unsweetened in cooking. Real foods tend to have more magnesium and calcium which are also important to overall health and cell fluid balance. Knowing sodium is everywhere and staying away from processed foods for me is not 100 percent, I take limited amounts of potassium 100mg per day, and magnesium malate, and make sure I get calcium in my foods. All in all this works for me, no edema, low BP.

Ugh, 10 cups a day? I can barely get in 5-6. But, I'll try.
