Searching For Motivational Pals

Hi! I've been an "app" member since July on my iPhone but never saw this website until today. I think that this may be exactly the place that I needed to see today. Although I have been decent in my nutrition (and totally OCD in tracking), I am apparently lacking motivation in exercise... I saw my progress report today - eek!
I have gained and lost the same 4 pounds for the past 3 years and am looking for friends to help me break through my floor to really change that number through motivation. Will you help?

This site is so amazing, and has given me so much motivation to live a more healthy and active lifestyle. I try to be really encouraging since I know from experience how much it helps! If you (or anyone else) would like to add me as a friend it would be awesome0

Hi There,
I am in the same boat. I went off birth control two months ago and gained 10 lbs. without doing anything differently. I'm working out 3-4 days a week and some days I stick to my calories, but other days I just can't seem to get motivated. I would like to lose 1lb a week by eating 1350 calories a day which I think is reasonable. I have a wedding in September and I really really want to lose 25-30 pounds, but why can't I do this??!!! I've seen my mother struggle with her weight my whole life and I vowed to never let that happen to me and now it is and I'm not tryind hard enough even though i want this more then anything. How can this be?? A pair of jeans I bough in September doesn't even fit me anymore!!!!!!0 -
Please add me! I need all the help I can get! LOL I can not get the scale to cooperate. Lost clothes sizes and thats all. I am working toward a big race in March and still cannot run. I will get there....HA HA

Remember that muscle weighs more that fat. Look at what type of exercises you are doing. Less weight and more reps/sets will build lean muscle. Yoga/pilates will build strength and lean muscle. I am in the same boat! My mom is big and I have that fear in a big way. Start focusing on the positives YOU do and that will help to.

I had the app before I knew of the website as well. I found the website accidentally not even sure how. I too have a habbit of yo yo dieting, and weight loss and gain. I seem to always fluctuate between my goal weight and 145-150lbs... Just when I lose it, I find it again! I use to be a part of "LiveStrong" and it worked, but this one won because it has an app and I use my phone more than I use the internet. Always glad to meet like people ^_^ I'll add you! Need the extra support with the holidays.0
