...start to write something funny (you are a married woman with a sense of humor, after all) on your wall, or on the message boards, and then - after spending several minutes composing what you were going to say - remember that your mother is on MyFitnessPal and you would be *really* embarrassed if she read that?

... Happened to me twice today.

lol. Nope, I have no sensor from my brain to my mouth (or hands). I've posted something and then deleted it though after reading it over again if I think its going to upset someone. :0/

fortunately, no. I don't have to watch what I say and if my mom was on here, she would give me serious kudos. Well, most of the time, that is...

Maybe I am crazy, but I always like to pretend that my sisters and I were all immaculately conceived, and that my mom believes the same about my own child.

I really could care less about what my parents think. It's my life now, since I left at 17.

I still don't think my mother would appreciate a reference to needing to up my protein intake and speculating about my hubby being home at the same time as me during my lunch break...

oh gawd...I would NOT want my mother on my friend list. She'd probably out-vulgar me and leave me crying in the corner.

My mom has high blood pressure. Since I love her and don't want to kill her with some of what I say, I'm thankful she is not on here. So yes, I get it.

My mother would probably think what I said was funny, since she has a similar sense of humor, but that in and of itself is disturbing.
  • Yeah, I filter everything I say and type. I'm so angelic because of it.

My mother once told me it didn't matter what I wore on my wedding night, it was going to be torn off my body and I would never be able to wear it again. She went on to tell me sex is great and I'll love it.

I was 13. My dad is a pastor, my mom is a cliche "good christian woman" I have never blushed so hard in my life.

I think we have the same mom/daughter relationship. I let some of my snark slip sometimes and she laughs. But since both my sister and I are adopted I like to pretend that there is no proof she and Dad ever had "relations" or know anything about that.

My mother has always liked to pretend she's a prude, and although I highly doubt she'd be surprised about anything I do or say, she'd probably feel the need to reprimand me about it. I'd still say it, though.

Hate to tell you guys, but you DO usually "turn into your mother," as you age. You may not notice it in your 20s or 30s, but it does happen to many of us! Kind of fun though. You'll see "down the road."

That has to be the best "talk" ever. Lol
And FYI, a recent poll said that married religious women were most satisfied with their sex lives. And I certainly don't disagree with that. ;-)
