Come and help me with some breakfast!! :)
Ok, so I wanna start making premade breakfast because I don't have much time in the morning and so I usually have toast which doesn't fill me up and makes me feel sick because it's too early. I want something I can eat on my way to work (it's a 40minute walk so plenty of time for food!)
I currently have (breakfast-ish wise) turkey bacon, eggs, spinich, a turkey joint I can cook up and make into chunks, weight watchers tortilla wraps & danish bread - white & brown, bran flakes, granola (spelling?), mushrooms, onions, peanut butter and I can't think of nothing else.
I do prefer warm foods, and I do prefer to eat big in the mornings but don't really wanna go above 400 cals!
Anyone want to put there wonderful skills and give me a couple ideas of what to throw together that can be frozen/heated quickly, and will keep me full - or failing that, more breakfast ideas!!
Thanks!

My favourite quick nutricious and awakening breakfast is a mocca smoothie. 300 kcal, 2 cups of coffee worth of caffeine, feels like an indulgence. Requires: Espresso (or strong coffee) and blender. (I have a smoothie 2go blender, makes it in the cup, very few dishes)
1 c milk (low-fat is best for this)
1 shot espresso
1/2 tbsp unsweetend baking cacao
1 banana, cut into chunks.
Blend it. Enjoy! (really easy to make in the mornings, and can be had on the go)0 -
On my quick mornings I take with me to work 2 packages of plain instant oatmeal and a 1/4 cup of whatever berries are in the house. I pair those with a string cheese and I have a breakfast that is under 300 calories. The protein from the cheese and the oatmeal are enough to last until my morning snack around 10am.0

I don't have a lot of time on weekday mornings, so I spend time on the weekends getting breakfasts ready for the upcoming week. I make things like homemade egg mcmuffins, waffle breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos that can be quickly heated up in the microwave. I also try to make large quanities of bacon in the oven and then freeze them, any type that you like works well. Muffins freeze well and are great for days when life is flighing past at the speed of light......hope that helps....if you need recipe ideas, I use justapinch.com, and there are other great sites with wonderful recipes and ideas as well.0

I sometimes cook my breakfast the night before. I cook my scramble my eggs (with salsa, but you can add veggies or cheese or whatever you like) and bake the morning star veggie sausage the night before.
I put it in a "to go" container, place it in the fridge. In the morning, I just heat it before I'm leaving the house. Then I eat it in the car on the way to work!0 -
Do eggs not go bad left after being cracked then?? I was always told they go bad if left for too long
thanks for all the replys everyone0 -
You will need to cook the eggs and then just reheat them when you are ready to eat breakfast, hope that helps0

Im not always a eggs and bacon kind of person so sometimes I will eat leftovers from the night before perhaps or a huge salad with turkey bacon and avacado! I believe you can eat whatever you want any time of the day as long as it is healthy!!:)0

Abso-freakin-lutely!!!
I maybe have a real breakfast once per week when my husband takes me out... today I had that real breakfast... Omelet loaded with every vegetable they had, slice of swiss and canadian bacon in it.
But the rest of the week, I love a good protein smoothie with frozen berries, leftovers from the night before dinner, I love a good sandwich filled with chicken or tuna, even salmon too! Tons of vegetables, a nice grainy mustard...
Anything can be done, but you really do need to make the time HAPPEN to eat appropriately and properly.... doesnt always have to be eggs, FWIW...0 -
Breakfast burritos? Scrambled egg, bacon and a bit of salsa or veggies rolled in tortilla. You can roll them ahead of time and heat them in the microwave in the morning.0

Smart Ones egg and sausage wraps! I have them every morning. two in a pack 240cals and take 1 1/2 mins to make. Just pop in the microwave0

i make myself a smoothie in the mornings, pineapple, mango, advacado, soy milk and oj - sometimes a banana and that keeps me going for quite a while.
if i'm home i'll have cereal with soy milk ( loving that stuff at the moment ) but sundays i have eggs, bacon, square sausage etc (bad i know)
but smoothies are really quick and you can experiment, using even cooked oatmeal making it even more filling.0 -
spinach and mushroom omelette
or a smoothie...use plain yogurt n whatever fruit u have handy0 -
I like to do egg whites(1/4 cup) in a sprayed cup for 45 sec in the microwave and then place it in an english muffin. You can put whatever else you want with it. I usually do some turkey bacon or some cheese.0

I cook up a batch of mini quiches and freeze them. Heat for about a minute in the microwave when ready to eat.
3/4 cup egg white
3/4 cup low fat shredded cheese of your choice (I like pepper-jack - gives a nice kick!)
1/4 cup diced onion
1/4 cup diced green pepper or celery
10 oz box of frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained (I squeeze the moisture out by hand)
Spray a muffin pan with cooking spray, bake at 350 for about 30 minutes. Makes 12 - each about 40 calories. I usually have two each morning with a piece of fruit. Enjoy!0 -

Depending how coordinated you are at juggling a bowl, spoon, and walking (some days I could do it, some days... probably not LOL)
I usually have for breakfast:
1/2 C oatmeal and 1 C water - microwaved
with 2 Tbsp peanut butter, 1 Tbsp honey, and 1/4 C milk
it really fills me up for about 380 calories (mostly in the peanut butter)
to cut a big portion of the calories, substitute powdered peanut butter and it drops to about 215 calories but still keeps me full until lunch time.0
