Hi, I have been using MFP for 6 1/2 weeks now and lost weight fast for the 1st 4 weeks but very slowly for the past 2 weeks and I have been on a recalculated - 1310 cal diet for the last couple of weeks also, but yesterday I decided that wasn't enough for my body to function properly (Male, 172cm, 87cm waist, 76kg) and I made my calorie goal the same as my BMR (1690cal) and thismorning I weigh .5 kilo less than yesterday morning after barely losing for 2 weeks?

Coincidence?
Or my body was screaming out for more nutrients?
Or?...

I didn't lose weight for 80 days because I was regularly under my calorie goal by 100-300. There were random overages and I noticed if the weight fluctuated downwards, it was right after I had a cheat day! I then focused on getting within 50-100 of my net goal and continued making sure I have been getting lots of protein. I've been consistently losing now!

Yea I think MFP is off on male calories - mine seems fine at 1400 because I'm a girl and I'm short - but my husband put in his stats he also got 1400 calories - NO WAY..... that can't be enough calories for him!

Do the math and research. Google fat to fit and use the military body fat calc and bmr calc.
