I am one who can't spell. I write the wrong spelling of something ex there instead of their. My fingers type something with out me thinking.
So it's funny that this drives me nuts.
LOSE
Lose is when you lose weight
LOOSE
Loose is when your pants are falling off you butt from losing weight

Thank you! Not an earth shattering concern, to be sure, but definitely something to note when you're writing instead of speaking!! May I add one more? Occassionally people like to SHOUT when they are writing...PLEASE TURN THE CAPS OFF AND LEARN TO PARAGRAPH WHILE YOU'RE AT IT.
Thank you!0 -
Glad I"m not the only one0

I think this is the most common typo I've seen. I'd be lying if I said it didn't irk me a little.0

Thank you!! I've posted something similar to this before, but it got deleted for "criticizing" other users:sad: . I thought I was helping!0

Loose moose0

Loose moose
I was just going to write, "Loose rhymes with goose." Most people know how to spell and pronounce goose (and moose). Mnemonic devices help.
Lose rhymes with booze ... nobody wants to lose their booze, now, do they?0 -
Thank you!
Stuff like that really bothers me
They are different words! They're not even pronounced the same! Learn english people!0 -
during ww2 members of our armed forces were reminded that "loose lips sink ships" so they'd be careful what they said in public places. " loose lips lose ships" might help mfp members in our modern era be careful what they write in public places...0

I had a thread I started (about "loose" and "lose")get deleted too. I think some of the moderators are quite anal about what we talk about here.0 -

Every forum has its pet hate when it comes to lousy spelling.
For the BDSM forums it's canned instead of caned. :bigsmile:0 -
WOW what a wonderful testament to yourself to have lost 120#. Congratulations!
And I love that when we lose weight our pants do get loose and fall off our bu^^s.0 -

Ohmigod, thank you! It drives me insane and makes me not want to answer questions when people have horrendous spelling. I'm a Speech Therapist, so it makes my skin crawl.0
