I'm finishing up 6 weeks of HCG shots and have so far lost a little over 20 pounds. I was hoping to loose more but I'm not too disappointed. Now Im heading into the maintenance phase and i was told that I need to follow a Protein rich regimen for about another six weeks. Can anyone help me with a good plan? I have been looking into the South Beach Diet, But I really want something I can stick to.

I'm interested to see what folks respond with here... You might have a bit of trouble keeping that weight off, since now your body is going to want to hold on to everything you eat after starving it the way the HCG diet works. Good luck!

Yeah that's what everyone ( except the nurse I gave my 300 bucks to) says. I'm almost afraid to eat anything other than what I have been eating . But I know I can't continue with that.
  • i dont know anything about the hgc diet, but i was on medifast for about 6 months and when you reach goal, they have you add calories back slowly. i would start with what you were eating calorie wise, and add 50-100 calories every week until you reach your maintenance calories.

for example i was eating between 800-1000 calories/day on medifast. the first week of maintenance i went to 850-1050 calories/day, week two 900-1050 calores/day, week three 1000-1300 calories/day week four 1100-1500 and now i'm working on maintaining between 1300-1450.

I have been at my goal since october 2 (actually lost another 4 pounds) and am loving MFP for tracking intake. Just take it slow by adding a little every week until you find where you can maintain. Congrats on your weight loss!
