Hi all,

After starting my journey of weight loss, for around 2.5 months losing around 7.5 kgs, now my reading on the scale is blocked. Its not going down, but to my surprise its slowly going up, i guess.

I definitely hit the plateau and i need your suggestions and help to come out of it. I still need to loose another 25 kgs.

Thanks

  • Eat more: between 1400 and 1600 NET per day. Exercise vigorously to force your body to re think it's patterns. Be sure to eat back all exercise calories though.

2 things to bear in mind: sodium intake can increase your water weight and a hard new exercise program (especially heavy weights) can cause your muscles to need to repair, to protect themselves, your muscles will take on water.

You can also try IF or intermittent fasting. Basically you eat 1 meal per day. so you fast for 20 hours and eat for 4.

Stall not a plateau. Plateau is 6 weeks or more of no weight loss/gain while being consistent. Change your exercise first.

You don't have to eat that PARTICULAR schedule for IF. try 16/8 and see how you feel about it - if you need to drop to for 15/11 or 14/10 do that.

But *when* you eat is not nearly as important as *what* you eat and your diary looks like you are eating WAY too low. Up your cals. Up up up.
  • fasting is good. I do it once a month. It seems to force my body to eat up stored fat. It also cleans my system and I find I don't have to eat as much to stay full. Exercise is definitely the Key to effective weight loss tho'.

I say jazz up your workout routine. I'm not quite sure what you do, but if you incorporte HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) it is sure to liven up your weight loss! good luck!
