I saw a commercial yesterday for "Brazil Butt Lift" (It may have been Brazilian Butt Lift) and the commerical claims that by doing it, it'll lift, shape & rounden your butt (which I believe that you can do all those things w/ working out) and one of the women got on there and said she didn't have much of a butt (it was flat) but after using it, it was round and big, the "before & after" photo's looked good, like in her before, her butt was flat and barely there, and afterwards she actually had a "bubble butt"
possible or not? me and my fiance are NOT agree'n on this lol

I have no idea (sorry!)... but the other Beachbody programs I have tried are amazing - so I can see there being some truth in it!!
Please do let me know if you give it a shot!!! :happy:0 -
A Brazilian butt lift is plastic surgery... a "butt job".

Quite a few MFPers have done the Brazilian Butt Lift, which is by Beachbody, who do many well-respected DVD workout programmes like P90X and Insanity. I think if you're "skinny fat", i.e. not overweight but unfit, you'd lose fat and build up underworked gluteus maximus (bum!) muscles to give you a nice shape as in the advert you saw.
Use the MFP search facility to find threads on it :flowerforyou:0 -
I used the Brazil Butt Lift program a couple of years ago. I thought it was fun.
Anyways, I certainly didn't have anything near a flat butt when I started, but when I finished, I did have tighter glutes and it appeared "lifted." Basically, I lost body fat all over my body (since we can't spot reduce) and I built up the butt muscles.
I think it is possible to do the same from flat, but I don't know about this program to do it. It is more of a fat loss/weight loss program that you do on a calorie deficit as I was doing. To build up that muscle you have to eat more than maintenance and do serious weight lifting like squats and lunges.
I'm not saying this program can't do that for you, but I also think it's just marketing to say that it can since it is advertised as a way to lose fat from your butt...
Beachbody does put out decent exercise programs, but you have to cut through the silly marketing ploys and realize that ANY cardio will burn calories and ANY strength training will strengthen muscle...and none of them target reduces anything, it's not possible. People buy Hip Hop Abs to sculpt their abs, and Brazil Butt Lift to sculpt their butt...when BOTH programs will help you lose fat from abs and butt. It's just that one of them tricks you into thinking you are spot reducing the abs, and the other tricks you into thinking you are spot reducing the butt.0 -
Plenty of squats will do wonders for ya butt..0

I really wanted to do BBL but I didn't have the money to buy it. But I started to lunges, squats, and I started running, now my butt is higher, rounder , and firmer than it ever has been. The best part, I didn't need to spend any money.0
