Well, I have taken the steps for a life change. I am sick of being overweight.. and I have started to make the change...
I started using mfp two weeks ago.. and a week before that I started counting my calories.. and I wasnt doing so hot on my own.. so after three weeks, I am so far 10 pounds lighter.. and I am going strong. I love this site and I have found lots of things to help me succeed.. even on the hard days.. when I really really really want that chocolate bar.. I dont reach for it... I keep thinking to myself.. I NEED TO DO THIS.

Hi, and welcome to THE best site on the web!
Between the easy to use food counter (which by the way is SUCH an eye opener!) and all the wonderfully supportive members, you WILL be able to lose the weight that you want to, AND, it'll "almost" be easy doing it!
I recommend logging ALL your foods BEFORE you have them, rather than later, as it tends to lead to better food choices. (not to mention you'll know if you've got enough numbers left to have a night time snack, like I ALWAYS try to do!) Some people also like to weigh and measure some things, such as meats, rather than just estimating and possibly being WAY off!
Also, drink lots of water, that seems to help alot too. :drinker:0 -

That is great I just started today. I am not much on the exersizing. Have you done a lot?0

I have started doing a Pilates for beginners in the evenings.. which is about 20 minutes. I also do crunches, push ups, and some arm curls with weights. And I try to walk every day. Today I went for at 45 minute walk.. it wasn't as fast as I would of liked, since I had my three year old with me.
I am finding it easier everyday to exercise.. as long as I dont skip a day.. if I skip a day.. I find it hard to do it the next day.. so .. I kick myself to do my exercise everyday.0 -

Exercise doesn't always have to be awful. For my exercise, I take a walk almost every day, (weather permitting!) I also dance to a fast oldies CD that my husband made up of all my favorite old songs. (Like "Love Shack", Wild, Wild West", "Mony, Mony", "Footloose", and "Gloria")
It's free, (unlike a gym!) fun, and I can even watch tv at the same time, so I never get bored!0 -
I used this alot maybe a year ago! How great that all my foods are still listed. I really appreciate how easy this site is to use. I have 25 pounds I would love to get rid of but will settle for 10 by June first. That's my first goal and I will do my healthy best to get there! And i will update my profile picture!
