I'm so discouraged! I've been active with MFP since the week before Thanksgiving and haven't lost any weight. In fact, I've gained. I started my weight tracker at 173lbs. The Monday after Thanksgiving, I weighed 176. Ack! I watched everything I ate and you guys convinced me that I need to add some exercise so Thursday and Friday nights, I walked/jogged 2miles per night. I didn't drink Friday night like I usually do. Saturday morning, I weighted 171. Yahoo! I did good Saturday until that evening when I drank a bunch of beers and ate about 1/4 of a big bag of chips with french onion dip. Sunday, I did ok. I felt a little hungover but didn't spend the day laying on the couch. It was a beautiful day! I put up plastic wrap on almost all of the windows on my house, getting ready for winter. This morning, I was 176 again. It just sucks that all of that hard work I did last week was for nothing. That's also why I'm reluctant to enter any weight lost because it doesn't stay gone. It's almost time for that TOM so I'm hoping that has something to do with it. I'm not giving up. I'm not really looking for answers on why it happened. I really just wanted to vent. If you look at my food diary, keep in mind that I entered Sat & Sun today so it's probably not exactly correct. Accurate is a good word for it.
On a positive note, I went grocery shopping Saturday and bought so many yummy, healthy things! And I used my coupons. The total was $272, then he ran my Kroger card which brought it down to $220 or so, then my coupons, and my total was $200.01. That should feed me, my 4yr old and my guy for about 3 weeks. Yea!

I notice you barely eat any vegetables or fruit. You need to be consistent with exercise and eating right.0

I forgot to add on last night's dinner that we cut up and grilled some bell peppers (a red, yellow and green), mushrooms and red onion, marinated in Ken's Italian dressing. It was yummy! I also had a coupon for a free pound of Holiday Grapes from Earth Fare. I had some of those on Friday and Saturday and forgot to add it. I do agree with you that I need to eat more fruit and veggies, tho.0

I noticed that you don't drink a lot of water. That would help. If I know I will be eating foods high in sodium I try and go over my daily 8 cups. It has definitely helped me in the past.0

Does the water intake only count for plain water? Would diet Lipton Green Tea count towards that? Because I've only been entering actual glasses of plain water but I drink a few of those green teas a day. Yesterday I also had a Gatorade (hangover cure) and a Vtiamin Water Zero but didn't include those.0

The scale can mislead you also. If you started exercising and have not been in the past you will build muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. The 5 lbs. you lost could have been water weight also. Try to stay strong !! just weigh every 1-2 weeks. That scale can beat you down quick. (and lay off the beer and chips). READ LABELS !! there are a lot of sugars etc. in items you would not expect to have sugar..like Ken's Italian dressing. If you have the MFP app on your phone you can scan the barcode on things in the grocery store and it will give the break down..Good Luck !!0
