Basics:
I am a 32 year old single mom of 3 boys. I work full time and keep my boys active in the sports they love.
New start:
Eating: This site is really helping me keep track of what I eat. It’s easy since I have access to the internet almost everywhere I go and the data base is vast, making it easy to enter the food I eat
Exercise: there is equipment at work, I can work out at lunch. My sons love to ride bikes so I am trying to get in a few bike rides a week. We have a wii and I am enjoying competing with my sons and doing the fitness trainer.
Attitude: just because I didn’t succeed in the past doesn’t mean I cant now. One day at a time. And just because I don’t do well one day is no reason to stop.
Like a budget its all looks great on paper but in reality its never that easy, but I refuse to toss in the towel. My goal is to try my best day by day and not get discouraged.
History:
I learned the hard way that you can gain weight when eating only once a day. For the last few years I have eaten more regular meals but to eat enough can be a challenge. Part of my issue is mental, I feel like a pig when trying to reach my daily calorie count. For years I have tried to lose weight and exercise but after a good start life intervenes. Its so easy to go from committed to half effort to no attempt at all. I thought once I got my degree I would have more time, its been a year and still none. I know its not a matter of finding time but making it however there is only 24 hours a day. They say your body is the one thing you have control over and its frustrating when I cant seem to get control of mine. I can work really hard for a few months with almost no results making it easy to get out of the habit. I am the heaviest I have ever been and it’s a hard pill to swallow cause like many I NEVER thought I would weigh this much.

Welcome!
Think of diet and exercise as something you have to do everyday. No different that going to school every day to earn your degree that you wanted so badly. You want this badly too. Use the same mentality.
Good luck!0 -
