What do you do when Cravings strike?
Do you give in?
Or Do you have a way of coping so you don't eat the things your not suppose to?
Personally I eat it... then wish I hadn't. i wish i had the willpower or a mind set that convinces me I dont need it.
In that way i am weak willed
Thoughts?.

In my case I have my off day, which is Saturdays... where if I want I will have that chocolate bar (which I can't stand eating anymore, I can't even get through one)
any other time, say I want some chips I will have a few, not the whole bag... I have become very fond of the chocolate drizzle Quacker rice cakes... yum only 90 cals when I am craving my chocolate...
you have to allow yourself Something once in a while or you will give in and binge and throw everything off course..
well that is my opinion ... others may vary... in small quantities I think it is alright to treat yourself.0 -
Depends on the craving, but in general I have it.
If it is for something sweet, I have a couple squares of really good dark chocolate.
If it is for something crunchy, I have pretzels, fruit, or raw vegetables.
If it is for baked goods, I have some wonderful muffin and dessert recipes that are low cal.
If it is for pizza, I make a homemade pizza that is within my cal range for the next meal.
ect ect
In other words, I find ways to satisfy my craving without blowing my diet. I also allow myself a cheat meal (not a day, just a meal) a week.0 -
Ok.I think I can deal with that.If I do I guess it saves me from binging BECAUSE I'v not allowed myself that something nice,
That way I dont have to feel guilty for it.....YOU HEAR THAT BRAIN???0 -

its tough to re-train yourself, but its totally doable
i struggle with the binge myself. i have been trying to let myself have all the things i love, just in smaller, healthier portions.
if you are looking for something sweet i recommend skinny cow candy or icecream treats. 120-150cals!
also having a day that you can have whatever you like once in a while is a great idea0 -
If I want chips and they're in the house, I'll look and see if we possibly have some healthier chips like wheat thins. If we don't I just eat a serving size of whatever kind we do have. I don't feel bad about it, I can't deprive myself of the food I grew up with and love. I just have to get used to the moderation.0

Sometimes I will eat it and go overboard. I don't know how to have just a little bit. So I find that it's better to just not eat them at all. It is hard b/c I have kids in the house and feel like I shouldn't have stuff they like around just b/c I need to lose a few pounds, sometimes I find a huge project to do around the house like clean my closet or organize the kitchen cabinets If it is that TOM though I can forget it. I go all out and then feel so mad at myself afterwards.0

have the same problem: I denied myself having a treat because I don't want to binge on sweets and cake again. But when the craving strikes like today when I was baking cookies for xmas, I had 2 of them and will have to do 5 more minutes of resistance training tonight. This is no punishment, just to remind myself that I have to burn what I eat. It works for me and I don't feel guilty anymore.0
