I'm on my 3rd day! I'm not much of a breakfast person too but I do think that it's better to have some fuel to kick start the day and read somewhere that you can increase your metabolic rate for the day.
So some food I usually eat (when i do eat):
1) Egg Mayo or tuna mayo sandwich
2) Honey Cornflakes (dry or with chocolate milk)
3) Sausage prata with veggies, chilli and mayo (sausage with prata wrapping over it) - not recommended it's unhealthy but really filling
4) Waffle (plain or with peanut butter)
5) Hot fish (boiled fish or fried fish) soup noodles
6) Potato salad with diced carrots, corns, green beans
7) Low fat yoghurt
8) Toasted bread, scramble eggs, baked beans (fast to make)
Hope it helps! And thanks for adding me! Pls encourage and support my weight loss journey too!!0 -
I'm on my 4th day....this time.
If you aren't crazy about breakfast, just get some high protein bars & have one of those for that meal. Also high protein shakes are easy & quick. Then focus on other foods for snacks & meals the rest of the day. My fave is scrambled egg whites (3 whites & 1 whole) with a little cheese, mushrooms, & spinach......really holds me over well to lunch.
You also might try:
- simple yogurt & granola (easy on the granola)
- handful of nuts (almonds or pecans)
- toast & peanut butter (whole wheat toast or ezeikel bread)
Good luck!!
Feel free to add me as a friend if you want.0 -
Welcome!
I really like my sleep so I used to wake up about 20-30 mins before I had to leave for work. That was enough time to actually get my mind ready for the day and to take a quick shower. I used to never eat breakfast.
Now I try to wake up about 2 to 2 and a half hours earlier so that I can get in a work out (when I am healed and back to normal) and so that I can get in some sort of breakfast. I am still relatively new to this so I tend to go for yoplait lite yogurt, applesauce or some kind of fresh fruit, cereal, or Jimmy D's griddle sticks made with turkey sausage.
Hope this helps! Feel free to add me if you need support and motivation.0 -
Eggo nutrigrain waffles smeared with peanut butter, with a sliced apple on top, sprinkled with cinnamon. I didn't used to eat breakfast, but now I get cranky if we ran out of apples! (I would NEVER allow us to run out of peanut butter :noway: )0

I have a microwave porridge - takes 2 minutes - lots of flavours. I use skimmed milk and then throw in some blueberries or other yummy fruit to make it go further. It's under 200 calories, is really good for me and my colon thanks me every day!!0

I typically will have a bowl of oatmeal with raisins and an wheat english muffin with some cream cheese and im good to go .. The oatmeal stays with you for a couple hours , you get some dairy with the cream cheese and the carbs for energy in the muffin.. All that can be cooking while your getting ready in the AM and can be eaten while commuting if needed..0

I have bowl of oats or Rice Krispies most time, if don't have time to eat I just have a quick Ensure drink thats 330cals.
sometimes i have fruit, melon, slices of banana, few grapes with bit of pouring yoghurt on it, when I have them in0 -

i often have this for breakfast on the weekend. on weekdays i don't have time to have more than some cereal or oatmeal before work0 -
I've found that I feel the best when I have a protein-rich breakfast. Carbs will make me "crash" before lunch, then I want to eat again. Protein keeps me "even".
Lately I've been having a protein drink for breakfast: Isoflex Whey Protein supplement, one scoop in a glass of water.
This stuff has 28 grams of protein, only 2 grams fat, and only two grams carbs, for a calorie total of 132. That's a lot of protein-bang for your calorie-buck. I also try to eat a boiled egg or a small bit of some other protein food with it.
Try the Isoflex (or a generic equivalent, like CVS Whey Protein Powder http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/catalog/shop_product_detail.jsp?productId=716152&skuId=716152 ).
It takes less then a minute to mix it up and slug it down, and it tastes OK. You could mix it with milk, too.0
