Adding Work to Exercise?

I'm an RN who just joined the community. I checked my BMR and it has me listed at 1400 cals/day but I set up my account as 'Lightly Active' (which was recommended for nurses, although to be honest I work up a sweat most shifts and rarely sit down); my cals for the day are showing up as 1400cals/day under that setting as well. I don't have a problem eating around that amount, I was just wondering-- should be adding in walking under exercise for the days I work?

No. It accounts in the movement of being on ur feet/wlking already. If it weren't for being set to lightly active you'd probably only have 1200calories to work with. If you feel the lightly active doesn't describe u, then move it up for,. If u r worried u wont be eating enough, set it to sedentary and then add in walking during ur shifts. But becareful;the mfp calories burned during excercise is a generic number given during a person ur height/weight, etc but only a heart rate monitor can tell u exactly.

Just change it to active. Believe me I know that "lightly active" for nurse is complete poo lol. My recommendation is switch it to active and don't log work. you'll only be cheating yourself. If you find you're crabby and tired just up the calories a couple hundred or so.

    Good luck =]
