Cardio everyday?

Debating if I should do some form of cardio everyday or should I do cardio one day and weight train the next....... Hard to truly factor in weight lifting calories. Does daily cardio make you exhausted or does your body get used to it? I have 4 kids so I need to have energy left in the evenings to tend to them.

Depends how fit you are and how streneous you want to work out.
Doing something everyday would be great. But it doesn't have to be some extreme workout every day. Mix in hard / easy days0 -
Cardio everyday and great and recommended. Now the intensity of your cardio should vary: perhaps a couple days a week high intensity with most days steady. Short term and exercise, weight included, will tire you out, but like you said the body will adjust and you will get to the point that not working out makes you sluggish!0

I alternate straight cardio days with cross training days. When I cross train I alternate 5-10 minutes of cardio with lifting weights, and I repeat this until I have a good 30 minutes of cardio logged. Good luck. I think it is helpful to alternate workouts.0

Do both.
Cardio one day and weights another.
Weights make you firmer.
Cardio makes you thinner.
So you do both you'll be really good.0 -
You'll want to do some weight training to keep the muscle you've got... then do cardio to burn the fat faster.
So I say both.
As for being tired... you're body will get used to it, but as you get used to it you push harder, so to some extent you'll always be tired, unless you intentionally go easy during your workout. Going easier burns fewer calories though, so you're not getting the most out of your workout.
Can you do your cardio after the kids are in bed? That way if you're tired you're not parenting too? That's what I do (at least when I can)... lift in the morning, spin in the evening.0
