Hi..without knowing your workout routine and nutrition info its hard to determine much...but try to find a caloric range that works for you stick to it..watch those carbs, fats and sodium..drink plenty water and try to excercise 5-6 times a week 60min doing Cardio and strength training if your physically able..If you stick to a plan and have no results after about a month of being 100% dedicated I would definately consult your physician....

We are the same height AND the same age

What are you doing for exercise? how much are you eating? how consistent are you? You say it's been months but you just joined in April. How accurate were you being before joining here?

    Thanks for the reply kerrilucko.

Yeah I joined MFG yesterday. But I joined Weighwachers in Jan'09 & I got 21 points to use in one day in order of food. So I usually manage to remain within my points. Plus I was doing light exercise like biking & walk. And there was no weight loss.
But now I am pretty tough on myself from last week. I am hitting a gym everyday for about an hour.
So do you have any suggestions for me?

I've never done weight watchers so I don't really know how the points transfer into calories. You're at 155 which is about the high end for your (our) healthy BMI so your weight loss will inevitably be quite slow. You may need to slightly lower your calories or slightly up your exercise to see results. It's really a tricky game, you need to find exactly what works for you. If it's been months, and you've been very accurate in logging, I'd wager you need to eat a bit less. Say you're eating 1500 cals now, maybe try 1400. (like I said I don't know how points transfer to calories, but you probably do and if you don't you should be able to find out by reviewing the foods you eat). Also, how are your sodium levels? do you eat a lot of pre=packaged foods? those little devils are full of sodium which causes water retention which can make it seem like you're not having much success even though you may be losing fat.

Hey kerrilucko thanks for the advice. My BMI is 24.94. So I am almost overweight. Here in MFP i am allowed to intake 1200 cal/day. So I can try to intake atmost 1100 cal/day & try to exercise more everyday.
I can keep track of my sodium level too. Thanks again for the suggestions.

eeek no don't do that! never go under 1200. Even staying AT 1200 may be too low for your current weight. Do me a favour and try staying around 1300-1400 net calories for a week or two. That's about where I was when I was at your weight. I'm actually eating MORE that that now (at 143 lbs) and still losing... allbeit slowly.

    slow and steady. :flowerforyou:

The weight watchers points are APPROXIMATELY 50 calories per point. There is some adjustment for Fiber and some things, like low cal veggies are zero points. At 21 points she'd be taking in about 1050-1200 calories a day. They assume that you're balancing out your diet with plenty of high fiber and zero point foods so that you're getting adequate nutrition. However, you also get like 34 points per week extra to spend where ever you want. At least that's how it was the last time I was a member. I think that the original poster needs to UP the calorie intake as suggested and be eating back at least HALF of the exercise calories earned. With WW you also got exercise points earned and were encouraged to eat some of them as well. I don't think the program was ever adequately presented to me or I might have actually succeeded for the long term! I don't know why it took me coming here to get it all.
