Hi - I'm 5'2 and I'm at about 164 (or so the Dr.'s office said last week). I want to be about 135. Would welcome a diet/workout buddy if you would like to bounce ideas and support off of each other.

Do you have a program that you are using at the moment?

The remember weighing at least 265... Post baby.
I usually weigh between 145-150 now.

The baby pooch does seem to be getting better.

BUT at first I lost alot of weight trough calorie restriction and NO working out.
    NOT GOOD! lol
I find a have a bit more belly flab than I would like, but it looks better than it did a year ago.
  • My advice....use this site to the fullest, faithfully log your food. Not only log your food, but make that food count by making healthier choices. It is possible to lose or shrink that baby bump, but it isn't easy, trust me I have four children! The best thing to do is start with counting your calories, watching what you eat, and exercise make this one a big habit. Not only does it give you energy to keep up with a demanding family ir aides in your weight loss efforts. I wish you the best of luck, and feel free to add me if you like!

Good advice! Set reasonable goals so you'll meet them such as a pound a week for starters. Not meeting goals can be depressing so don't expect too much of yourself too soon! You have a lot to adjust to here. Make sure you log your food to the best of your ability even when you don't want to (holiday meals). Make sure you do some form of exercise each day just to start making it a habit. Take the kids out for a walk for 10 minutes even. Build your routine. Pick your "diet plan" and be faithful to it. If you don't like your plan, don't quit, find another one instead. Read success stories here. They all succeed, and so can you! Cut the junk out of your diet and replace it with healthy options. No one "needs" potato chips, sodas, alcohol, etc. as part of a healthy daily diet. I'd aim for 30 - 90 days of being totally faithful to your plan before you start "treating" yourself with sweets and junk food just so you can realize that those things should not be eaten on a regular basis.

I've heard time and time again, that pregnancy or no pregnancy the stomach is the first place to get fat and the last place to lose it. You can definitely tone up your body with over all exercise and strength training, but you'll need to lose fat to get rid of your belly. I don't have kids but look like I did! I hear ya! = D
