OK, newbie here. The exercise diary counted my 30 min on the bike but I entered all the weight training things I did, it's in the exercise diary but it doesn't count it as overall exercise in the regular home/food page? What am I doing wrong?

Calories are only tracked for cardio exercises.

you're doing nothing wrong, .. you're going to have to guesstimate the cals burned while lifting ..
under cardio there's a strength training item that I use ... it seems ..sorta close so I've been using that.

I don't record my specific weight exercises here ... kinda tedious when I already track it on paper while I'm lifting.
  • Hi! Under the cardio section you can search strength training and the category will come up and you can enter the number of minutes you did and your calories. :)
  • Hi and thanks. Just think it's a little weird that they have a separate strength training section if they are not going to add the data in...
First week I am using this, other than this exercise thing, I am really liking this. :)

I found that to be odd, too, since they only count the reps.

Instead I use "strength training" under cardio or "circuit training" under cardio when I do a combination of cardio/strength and it gets me pretty close :)
  • Not sure how to really count strength training under cardio. It gave me 140 cal for 20 min of work but I did leg extensions, leg curls, wide grip press, narrow grip pulldown, rowing -basically 3 sets of 12- 15 reps at around 30 lbs - at my weight that has to be more than 140 cals!

I feel strangely about that, too. I use Fitocracy to track my exercise habits and motivate myself to get better since the tracker on here isn't as good. Check it out! PM me if you like it and have questions.
  • Thanks, will check that out!

I use my HRM, which tells me the calories I burn and just use that amount.
