Any ladies out there that are trying to lose weight to surprise their deployed spouse? Trying to lose 35 lbs while my husband is gone...just wondering if anyone else is trying to do the same!

Back in 2007 my husband went through navy boot camp and came out looking fiiiiiiiine. I moved down to FL when he was sent to further schooling and his new level of fitness motivated me to start working out too. I dropped nearly 20 lbs but gained it all back when we moved back home and I had to go back to work.

We're estranged now, but I think he's coming back home for the holidays and I'm looking to wow him with my new fitness. I've lost nearly 30 lbs again since he's seen me. Maybe that will prompt him to miss me a little more? lol
  • Hi ladies! My husband is Navy and currently deployed until the end of April. I'm a little older, so I know it's going to be hard to lose this 35 pounds, but I really want to do it. After a couple of major surgeries and now with my thyroid out of whack again I just can't seem to get these pounds off again. Glad to know there are a couple others out there that want to surprise someone with a self-makeover! And "dointhis4me", I also like your revenge strategy!

    Feel free to friend me!

My hubby comes back in April as well, and I also struggle with hypothyroidism. We can do it!!

I think this is very sweet! :)

I'm the opposite... I lose weight (from stress) when DH is gone. When he was in Iraq, I lost 15 pounds just from stress alone. Now that he's back, I've become a "happy eater" and I need to lose the weight. Ugh

Your hubbies will be thrilled to see you regardless of how much you lose!
  • Look out APRIL, here we come! Now... where do I start? :noway:

My husband is actually deploying in Feb for a year (we currently live apart too...long story) and I'm planning on hitting my goal weight in that time. *fingers crossed* Figure I'll have a lot of motivation and not much else to do.
