6 miles this morning...without any breaks!!!! I'm very proud of myself!

Am I crazy in thinking that even though I've only been running for 3 weeks, my legs are changing already? I've always responded incredibly well to a weight heavy /lite cardio program, but this running business is shocking the weight off my body.

Quick question about recording running calories? I did 6 miles in 65 minutes so approx 11 minute miles. There isn't a 5.5mph entry listed. How can I enter that calorie burn as I don't have a HRM (yet!)?
Thanks for any help/advice!

Becky

    I know isn't it weird that there's a 11.5/min mile and a 10/min mile but no 11 :(

    I wondered about that too.

Congrats on your awesome run this morning BTW!!

I had a quick 3K tempo earlier today, 12K LSD tomorrow morning.

Very cool, congrats! I'll be going for a run early this afternoon (before the Derby) myself! I doubt I'll do that well though . . . :blushing:

Still no running for me :frown: I hurt my achilles last week (nothing bad, just kinda pulled/strained it) so my doc told me to take it easy for a little while. I'm going to give it about a week. for now I'm doing a lot of swimming and biking...

cant wait to go for a good run though, I saw a lady running this morning on my way to work and was SUPER jealous!!!!

Way to go Becky! I'd just add 32.5 minutes at 10 minute mile pace and 32.5 minutes at 11.5 minute mile pace. That will give you close to an 11 minute mile pace averaged.
