I started P90X three weeeks ago and although everything is getting tighter, I have not lost a single pound and I am getting really frustrated. I hope that this works. I saw this site on a p90x message.

    Hi,

I am new to this site and I also saw this website in posts on Beachbody by one of the coaches. My husband and I are in are second week of P90X as well. I have done a lot of reading about P90X and it seems that some people lose weight and some people don't . I would like to lose about 10 - 14 pounds myself and my husband just wants to get bigger because he is rather skinny. I have heard that a lot of people gained weight because you build so much muscle and it weighs more then fat. The coaches tell you to get rid of your scale because you will fluctuate so much doing P90X. I think you just have to give it some time. I am a women and I like to see results fast or I get discouraged and frustrated also but I know this program will kick my butt into shape. I may not do it in the 90 days but I will be doing P90X for years to come. I am sure you will see results as well. If you bring it every time and you follow the nutrition plan as best as you can there is no reason why you won't. I haven't gotten the whole plan down yet. I am not sure what phase I should be in. All I know is I am a level 1 for eating portions. I was on L.A. weight loss over a year and a half ago and I lost 58 pounds so I know what it is like to follow a strict eating plan with weighing foods and cutting out the bad stuff. It is a pain sometimes though I must say especially when you have kids to feed and they don't want to eat the same stuff. Haha!! Maybe you can keep in touch with me and we can help eachother through our P90x journey? I could use all the support I can get. Don't get discouraged!! Stick with it, you won't regret I am sure.

    Hey you two,

Why don't you stop by our thread here:

    http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/50763-p90x-starting-a-new-thread

There are a lot of us doing P90X, and we are a great bunch of people to keep you motivated and accountable. A few of us, myself included, are also coaches and can answer questions you may have.

I'm currently in my fourth round of P90X. In fact, last Monday was my one-year anniversary on the program. You will see great results if you follow the nutrition plan & push play every day. Tony Horton has said that it should be called P120X for women because it takes our bodies that much longer to change. Remember that it's a 90-day program, so if you don't see immediate results don't be discouraged. Patience is your friend with this program.

So come join us over on the thread. We'd love to help you on your journey!

    1. It Works..... It is not a "weight loss program" it is a "Fitness program" . It is a life changing experience. It will become a way of life it you want to stay healthy, stay lean and in shape.
You need to do it everyday just like it is scheduled. DO NOT SKIP!!!!! Do the classic version....Male or Female.
Do the nutrition plan. Fitness is 80% Nutrition 20% Excercise. The Power 90 program was designed to get people into the proper mind set to start paying attention to what and how they eat.... plus excercise.
P90X is the EXTREME version of the Power 90 Program. It helps to be in some what good shape or you will have you @ss handed to you. This program is physically TOUGH!!!! Any questions feel free to email me at mcpushp@att.net

Do you know if you're eating all your calories by chance?

I didn't start losing until I started eating all my exercise calories and started losing faster once I bumped all the way up to 1800. It's slow and steady now but the inches are really coming off a lot more than pounds. Even my husband can tell and he didn't even notice that I had gained weight over the past year, hehe.

I'm just finishing off my third week also but I'll have Phase 1 photos after next week.
