So Excited

The other day after working out, I asked my trainer if I could check my BMI and body fat percentage. We checked it, but couldn't find my numbers from the last time I had "checked-in" almost a month before I started to workout. I found my numbers last night and I am really proud of myself. It might not be huge numbers, but I have been working out and eating healthier (I am not going to use the word diet) for approximately 5 weeks now, and I am proud of the numbers and wanted to share. . .
October 13: Weight 156.4, waist circumference 37", body fat% 34.6, BMI 28.6
November 6: Weight 146.4, waist cicumference 29.5", body fat% 31.9, BMI 26.7
I know I still have a ways to go. Last night I was running on the treadmill after working out with my trainer. I was proud that I am pushing myself. My legs acted like they just wanted to give up. I had that little voice in my head saying. . ."Just give up and go home, you at least did something. Go home and do nothing now." Instead I said no and hit the increase incline button. I said I have to run a mile first (I am slowly making progress on how far I run), but when I hit a mile, I was satisfied and ran some more. I felt so amazing when I finished! You just have to remind yourself that you can do anything that you put your mind to. Plus, it's little things like these that makes your feel like you have accomplished something.

WOW! That is amazing, you have lost loads round your waist!! I would say that is a huge acomplishment! I have been on MFP for 75 days and not lost a pound yet! lol0

Thats amazing! You must have toned up so much! Just like everyone says, its not always about what the scale says even though you lost a good amount of weight for your size. Its about your body changing and becoming healthy. Just wow!
Also, I have personally found that its that extra mile, extra minute, extra rep that helps me with losing weight or inches. I found that when I am tired and I dont feel I can do much more I push myself and it just comes off.
Good for you!!!!!!0 -

I'm so excited for you too!! That's quite an accomplishment! Remember...it's all of the small goals adding up that get you to the bigger ones. You're already on your way and you're doing it!! Great success...be proud!! :flowerforyou:0

That is Awesome...Great job...Did you change your eatting plan?0

I did change my eating plan. When I first started, I was staying at about 900 calories and working out. The food I was eating might have been under calories, but it probably wasn't the best choices, a lot of carbs. Then Monday I worked out with my trainer and almost passed out. We decided I hadn't been eating enough calories and discussed how I should be eating. The past few days I have eating more of a variety, backed off the carbs some, adding fruit and veggies more into the whole thing. Yesterday I could really tell a difference in my energy level, especially when I went to workout. I've also cut out a majority of the sweets I had been eating on a regular basis. I grew up in a home where we always had "dessert" every day. So that's helped me a lot I am sure.0

So exciting, congratulations0

Oh, and I think what helps me is I am doing both strength training and cardio. Mondays and Wednesdays I workout with my trainer doing weights and then run on the treadmill. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I run and attend my trainer's bootcamp class which is a mix of some strength moves, but mainly a lot of plyometrics. Fridays and Saturdays I run. I'm hoping to add strength training in on Fridays as well.0
