I absolutely hate trying to find a dress for the Christmas party. I have seen plenty that I like the look of but I know that when I put the dress on it will look so different to the lovely pretty slim model.

Just feeling a bit down about it all :o(

Dont let clothing be the reason to make you feel down nor ruin having a good time at someone's party... honestly, its just not worth it.

My husband's corporate dinner this coming weekend, granted its an evening that requires special attire, but, I wont stress over the clothing side... I just worry about the one employee who goes from being uber nice to Super-numbnut once he realizes its an open bar and then becomes Super-*kitten* because that open-bar didnt shut him off! LOL!!!!

MAN, I hope he keeps his clothes on this year.... not a good way to 'sober' up.... lol
  • Spend a little 'me' time - a spray tan, pedicure, manicure, & eyebrow wax -will all make you feel like a million dollars!! Then add a simple dress and peep-toe heels & presto YOU will be sensational!!!

I know exactly how you feel! I am very curvy especially up top and its frustrating when a dress fits until it gets to the top! I usually have to end up getting a dress that's loose around the middle just to be able to wear it but I got really lucky this year. After trying on at least 75 dresses over 3 days I found one that I absolutely love! The funny thing is when I saw it on the hanger I was like there is no way I'm going to fit into that... but I did and it was awesome! So cheer up not all dresses are created equal and you will find one that looks great!

For this year i ordered loads of dresses of the main UK sites (next, Debenhams, Wallis etc) and tried them on in my own room, with the right shoes, underwear etc and it was a lot nicer than a small dressing room in a shop, and you can order different sizes in the same dress and no one will know what you look like xxx

Have fun - remember everyone else will be worried about what they look like too - and not looking at you so much

Remember when shopping for any outfits, don't get caught up in sizes, or how the models look in the clothes. Try on different styles and sizes until you find something that compliments how you look now, not how you wished you looked.

I find a lot of my girlfriends get caught up in being a certain size, and then if something doesn't fit, they get discouraged. Sizes are so different at every store, you can wear an 14 at one store, but need a 16 somewhere else. Find something that makes you feel good, and don't worry about the number.
