1. run a 10k
2. run a half marathon
3. go back to college
4. hit 130 and stay there!!!!
5. be a better mom and wife0 -
1. Lose the last 20 lbs.
2. Get my finances in order
3. Really engage with my kiddos
4. Run another half marathon
5. Make it to 2013 without having to include "lose weight" as my new year's resolution!!0 -
Here is mine:
1. reach my goal weight...when I do, I will have lost 90 pounds...I only need to lose 25 more!
2. complete the Commando Run at the end of March which is also a 3.5 mile obstacle course. that will be my first race ever!
3. Upon completion of #1, I am going to get my first tattoo0 -
So glad you started this
1. continue weekly financial meetings with my husband to ensure we're staying on budget (for anyone who thinks I'm crazy, we go over our spending from the prior week and categorize it and ensure we're within our spending. if we're not, we re-adjust the next week. it takes about 30-45 minutes every Sunday and has helped us TREMENDOUSLY!)
2. continue to try new classes at the gym and walk the dog more often after I'm home from work
3. continue healthy eating - more cooking at home with what we have and less eating out due to laziness!
4. get to a place in my health that I feel I can "stop preventing" and be a mommy
5. encourage 1 person to get healthy and change their life this year
#1, 2, and 3 all start with the word "continue" because thanks to MFP, I've been doing these things already and don't have to wait until new years!0 -
First off. You're amazing. You inspire me more and more everyday. Thank you!
But resolutions. It's always been "to lose weight" but since I'm already started, it's to continue what I'm doing and more.
My big resolution is to train using the C25K and running in a 5K at some point next year. I've always wanted to do that and next year I will!
Also to make 2012 better than 2011, which shouldn't be hard considering the year I had.
Keep up the great work everyone!

I don't make resolutions but I do set goals
1. Continue with my healthier lifestyle
2. Lose more weight
3. Complete 3 books I'm working on
4. Roll out a major project0 -
By 2012 I want to;
-have finished my first degree
-passed everything
-Be 60 kgs
-Have teeth so white my smile scares people
I'm pretty much on my way to achieving these; my secondary goals (for mid 2013, when I turn 22) are;
By the time I turn 22 I want to have been under 60kgs consistently for an entire year, I want to be more toned and healthier (both mentally and physically). I want a HbA1C of under 8 (preferably closer to 7), and I plan to have a law degree.
I want to have some kind of stronger grasp of the law (because these two things are mutually exclusive). And I want to take the initiative to be somewhat on my way towards some kind of future- either have a PLT lined up, or a job in marketing or law and I want long healthy hair...0 -
Thanks for making me thing about it. I haven't made a resolution in years!
In 2012 I will-
1.Lose weight
2.Get my drivers license (I've been putting it off for years)
3.Get a new job
4.Get pregnant (and then lose the weight )
5. Be happy again0 -
Ooh. I was thinking about this the other day, and about how far I've come from this time last year when the only time I would run would be if someone was stealing my cake! Now I can run 18km, have made exercise an important part of my life, and have tried so many new and healthy foods that it is crazy (for a picky eater!).
I want to:
Try out yoga classes (and if I don't like them, find something that will improve my flexibility so that I can touch my toes!).
Continue training for a half marathon in february (aim for 2hour finish).
Run a marathon.
Do unassisted chin ups.
Continue trying new foods.0 -
Wow I would have to say my goals for 2012 are:
1) Be consistent and lose my 75 lbs for good.
2)Get my finances in order with my husband as a unity.
3)Be consistent in my workout regime.
4)Get toned and lean
5)Pay off some debt(credit cards, loans, pay down new car)
These are just some of them I've got many more to work on but we will just get these accomplished first!0 -
So many things I want to do next year!
1. Reach my goal weight of 130 lbs
2. Look great wearing a bikini during spring break in Florida
3. Graduate college
4. Have an amazing wedding
5. Get a "big girl" job!
6. Get cast in a lead role because I finally have the body to match my talent!0 -
My resolutions /goals for the new year:
1) Finish my candidacy exam by the end of the summer 2012, so I can graduate in 2013 summer. I want to go back to work by the time my son starts school.
2) Sleep more!!!! This is a crucial, because I end up being lazy: not progressing my thesis, not able to work out etc.
3) Stop trying to have a baby. One way or an other , we have to stop trying for an other baby. It is depressing, financially, emotionally draining. If it happens, that is wonderful. If it doesn't happen, we have to move on with our life. If I do not get pregnant by the end of the summer 2012, I am going to start selling out baby stuff and move on.
4) Go for a vacation to see a tropical ocean. I have never ever been places where are sandy beaches and palm trees grow. We just never had the money and time etc. Also I never pressed the issue, as I didn't wanted to show my body in a swimming suit. That has to end! I think, once I deal with 3) , it will help to solve this problem.
5. The last one, is to motivate my family to move more. My husband and my son are not overweight, but they are lazy like hell. My biggest achievement for 2011 was to get my husband interested in biking again. It made wonder for our marriage , when he joined me on the road. I hope next year , we can take biking to the next level , and teach our son to bike too, and go on great family cycling trips.0 -
1. Lose the baby weight from the baby I'll be having in late Jan or early Feb. I've done it before (with hard work, diet and exercise so I believe I can do it again).
2. Train to actually RUN a 5k without having to stop to walk. I'll probably be modifying C25K to make it a slower more gradual progression than the program actually calls for. I started to do the program once before and found it was progressing too fast for me. I was just starting to modify it to my needs when I got pneumonia 4 times within a year and had to stop training for a while (under doctor's orders) to let my lungs heal.
3. Begin training for a half marathon (with the goal to participate in a half in Spring 2013).0 -
Love them All!!!!!0
