Losing Weight and trying to find the missing pieces

I am never really good at introductions, but I'll give it a try.
I am here so I can lose about 30-40 pounds. According to the bmi calculator I am overweight.
I have two kids, and love spending my time with them. But have a hard time keeping up with their energized selves.
I'm a single mama, just trying to get my sexy back and wanting to become one hot mama.
If you want to be friends, just add me... We are all here to support one another right?

Hey! Welcome! Thanks for sending the friend request. I completely understand trying to balance kids with time for you-plus trying to manage meals! I am fortunate in having help bc I can tag in my husband or in-laws but even then its tricky so way to go putting yourself as a priority!!:) My kids imitate me exercising and I think that is awesome! When I don't have anyone to tag in I jump rope, run stairs in my house, so some exercises in 5-10 min increments. I joined a bootcamp recently and its more like having a personal trainer and she recommends using intervals to increase weight loss and overall get better results. I just started using the Tabata timer (20secs on, 10 secs off for 8 sets then 1 min break and go again) where I may jump rope for the first 20 secs, do squats the second 20 ,etc). My personal trainer also recommends bodyrock exercises but they are a bit extreme (and looking at the people doing the exercises isnt the best for my self esteem). Spark people has youtube videos and I like them bc they are ten mins so again, trying to work them into my day. I have my kids try to follow along with theirs and it gets them moving AND me. You can do this!!0

Thanks.
My son loves to join in with me when I work out, so it helps because I got my little buddy keeping me motivated. He even brings me a workout dvd and says "Mommy lets do Tae Bo or the jumping jacks one (which is the 30 DS), lets exercise", he is almost 5 by the way. Kids are great inspirations and motivators.0 -
I can't imagine trying to do this while rasing kids! Bravo for wanting to be healthy for them! I'm here if you need me!0
