Since I need to lose almost 40 pounds decided to divide by four. For each 10 pounds I lose I am going to do something special for myself. Nothing to expensive don't have the money. I have thought of getting my hair done when I lose 10 pounds, or maybe a new outfit when I lose all 40 pounds, but need some ideas for the additional 10 pounds. HELP... Give me some ideas....I think I would do better with goals.

have a girly day with home mani's and pedi's, maybe like a little party make up, hair and take loads of photo's and have fun.
have a day trip to somewhere really nice
Do something you have never done before e.g. surfing lesson, salsa class, bungy jumping, white water rafting
Some ideas, I'm making a big deal with my goals as well. I plan to have heaps of fun and reward myself accordingly:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:0 -
I used to reward myself for walking by getting more music for my iPod--which encouraged me to walk more!
There are also some cookbooks I'd love to reward myself with.0 -
To steal a freinds idea. Instead of buy fast food buy some scratch off tickets if your state has them. Cheap fun could possble help pay for clothes later.0

I've only lost 20lbs but I really need new clothes. A lot of it. Most of my clothes doesn't fit me anymore. I am sure you could make a trip to a second hand store or such for a 10lb prize. My first 10lbs was two cheap Walmart yoga outfits (they were only $7 an item and they are really cute). My first 15lbs warranted new running shoes. I also just got a whole 7 dollar 7 VHS set of Weider's Bodybuilding System at the 20lb mark. It was cheap (of course, they are VHS) but I figured I would learn from it and it will help me stay motivated! I know when I get down to my goal of 165 I plan to spend a bit on new clothes because I keep refraining from getting much (because I am cheap, and they won't fit me long anyway)!0

Or be that much farther behind....To steal a friends idea. Instead of buy fast food buy some scratch off tickets if your state has them. Cheap fun could possible help pay for clothes later.0 -
For every 10 pounds I loose I get a massage. So far I have gotten 4. It does not really motovate me, but is a nice reward and each time I feel like I am making progress.0

this is what I have used for motivation....got the idea from a support friend who uses Large dog food bags
.......as I lose the weight I look for something in the kitchen that weighs what I have lost....so far I have 3 bags of 5lb flour on the kitchen counter  I lift it up occasionally to remind myself that is what I have lost and I don't want to go back! There are lost of great ideas here for me to try.... 0 -
there were a lot of great ideas, so I think I will put them on a piece of paper in a jar, and when I reach a milestone I will reach in and pick one, then it will be a suprise along with the milestone. Thanks everyone...0
