So, I think I weigh about 128 lbs. I don't own scales and don't weigh myself regularly, but that's what I weighed last time I checked, about 3 months ago. I am wearing a UK size 8 (26 inch jeans), but they are getting rather baggy on me. My waist is 27, hips 34, bust 28F.
So I would say I am fairly normal sized. My weight is probably about in the normal range, but I still look fat to myself. Other people say I look "skinny" but I don't see that at all.
Am I just wrong in the head? I feel like I have lost the ability to judge how I should look these days. I see people on here with much lower goal weights than me and think, well I must still be too big.
Edit my profile pic was from 3 months ago, and although I feel bigger than I did then, I think I must really be slightly smaller as the clothes that fitted then are baggy now.

I am the same way....
Everyone tells me how skinny I am but when I look in the mirror, all i see is the still flabby looking tummy etc....
However, when I was a LOT heavier I looked back at some pictures of me in high school and thought, WOW what I wouldn't give to look like that again. I vowed to never say I look fat again once I reached my goal weight. But, I am doing it again.
I think with time we will learn to be happy and see what others see. I'm hoping anyway.
Congrats on your weight loss!!0 -
If you're feeling flabby but everyone's telling you that you're small, you probably need to work on some strength training to burn fat and gain muscle tone. That was my problem before I gained weight -- I thought I was fat, because I was out of shape, even though I was ridiculously thin. Had I realized then what the problem was, I could have saved myself a whole lot of self-loathing.0

I think you look great. You can't compare yourself to other people's weight goals. Their bodies are different, different bone structures, height etc. A UK size 8 is a US size 6 which is a very decent healthy size unless you have tiny bone structure.
Editing to add: What made you choose your target weight? There are calculators out there which will estimate an ideal weight range goal.0 -

I am very fit and quite muscly so I don't think that is the problem.0 -

I find a UK 8 more like a US 2 or 3. My US jeans are a 2 and a 3. I have some 4s but they are too big. A US 6 is more like a UK 10 these days.
I chose my goal weight of 130 lbs because it was in the middle of my healthy BMI range, but then lowered it to 125 because I didn't feel ready to stop losing weight yet. I am sort of half heartedly maintaining at the moment at 128, but in a dithery can't decide what to do next way.0 -
You are probably right on the sizes, I just went with an online chart, no personal experience. A US 2 or 4 is quite small in my opinion.0
