what is your scooby snack?

I get home from work exhausted, yet still need to cook dinner and take care of my child. I have a bad habit of having a drink of wine while I make dinner (which continues of course through eating dinner). For me, it is like a scooby snack - a little reward for doing something. But I need to find a lower calorie reward. So what is your scooby snack? Especially interested in non-food/non-material ways that you motivate yourself.

In my case, it is definetly Hot Tamales. No fat treat but have you thought about rewarding yourself with a little "you time"? Hot bath, 30 minutes with a book?

    What I want:
    - buffalo wings in the freezer.
    - Cheese cake bite
    - Chips and guac

    What I should eat instead:
    - Apple
    - Orange
    - Peanut butter on a table spoon.
    - Boiled egg
    - Popcorn
    - Water

70% of the time, I do what's right.

I get myself good coffee and that gets me to exercise a bit more. :)

I think this is kind of funny because I bought some cinnamon graham crackers that I guess are supposed to look like scooby snacks, shaped like a bone dog treat.

My Scooby snack is a snack sized portion of dried prunes. That's my treat each night as I read in bed!
That seems rather pathetic now I've written that down!

I normally just grab an apple or a small bag of chips. I try not to have anything worse lying around the apartment for me use as a snack 'cause I may accidentally over-indulge

A white chocolate lindor truffle. Don't keep them in the house right now, because I'm not sure I can eat just one yet...

Possible to like a like? Just likin' it.

Back on subject. White Chocolate covered oreos out of the Freezer. I use to get one per mile I ran, but after the Ultra Marathon it would have been boxes worth. Settling for just 2 now.

Yes. It just isn't a particularly exciting or 'sexy' snack!

Cereal for me. I do enjoy a wee bowl of cereal with skimmed milk.

On another note, there's a fast food van I know that sells 'Scooby Snacks' which are huge burgers with 2 burgers, cheese, 3 slices of bacon, square sausage, lorne sausage, a potato scone and sauce on it. Heart attack in a bun! lol.

1/4 cup of pistachios and/or a clementine orange.
Best when served up with a good book in a quiet study.

Hazelnut Coffee with half & half and sometimes a homemade brownie (I usually keep them on hand, Mark Bittman's recipe). Vanilla ice-cream is another one.

Love chips and queso.. In fact I had it tonight for dinner :)

    To OP:
Lately I've been craving peanut butter with chocolate chips.. so I stick two tablespoons of peanut butter in a cup with chocolate chips.. melt it, and eat. So delish

Plus a glass of wine won't hurt.. I'm a firm believer in that as long as fits in your calorie goal, then your ok!

Club soda with lime. YUM! And it's LIKE a fancy cocktail. I even drink it in a wine glass. :)
