He has a point. It would be very convenient to date him. Surely she should understand this.

I think the guy may have a slight mental disability.. I feel sad for him to have that blasted all over the interwebz. BUT, that's a risk you take when you shoot of crazy emails!

What a freak! What was he thinking? He should have used bullet points. That would have made everything more cohesive.

I wonder if he has some form of autism. He lists the behavioral cues that made him think she liked him, as if he had studied these specific cues and was looking for them. "On a per-minute basis, I've never had as much eye contact during a date as I did with you." That's not something most of us would be consciously paying attention to.

She shouldn't have led him on like that. What a slut.

ElizabethRoad makes a valid point, though.

This is the exact conversation some friends had this morning, that it's very aspergers-y. He has researched the parameters of the social cues and expects them like clockwork. He's asking for her feedback to catalog the information so he does better with the next girl he goes on a date with. *someone else mentioned that he possibly hasn't been officially diagnosed, which would explain why he just shot this out without batting an eye.

I think you guys are missing the point, she obviously led him on (i.e., giving me mixed signals) and should at the very least apologize. I mean he IS willing to go out with her again, even though she is less appealling now.
  • Did someone pay him to do that. That was uncormtable to read. He is such a stalker and if he can not take the hint that she doesn't want to go out again with him, then someone should put on the internet and he may find it via google. I think she was bored and be nice and not coming on to him at all. I've never seen a women play with her hair ever:happy:

Yeah, I was amused about the email as I began reading it.... then started thinking that this guy sounds like he's autistic. He's exceptionally good at investing and thinking logically, but exceptionally bad at getting social cues (while able to pick up on those cues he has been told to watch for).

I can't think of any other reason someone would suggest that she should date him for convenience sake.

on the small plus side...now a man knows how it feels to get rejected after a date by getting ignored. Been down that road so many times I have lost count

    Agreed!

"I've gone out with a lot of women in my life."

    This seems doubtful.

Clearly she did not Google search "How to make it perfectly clear you are not into someone".

I think, once you've accused someone of being 'passive-aggressive', your chances of a second date become zilch.

I loved the bit when he sold his career. Insecure? Moi?

I agree on the autistic spectrum and the unusualness of a man getting ignored for once!
