I created my user named based on my daily walking goals. As of right now this is going to be a standard for me. I want to walk ten thousand steps from now until the rest of my life. Not only is it good for weight loss, but also good to maintain weight. With the help of this site I can know exactly what I need to eat and I should be able to lose and then maintain my weight.

Feel free to add me as a friend. I'm really a newbie here for sure. Its got somewhat of a facebook feel to it but only two of my facebook friends use this and only one is active so I guess only one friend uses it now. I'm looking for support and motivation. I go in fitness/health spurts so I hope this time I keep it up without giving up. BTW... I'm not looking for romance so take that pressure away to all the ladies out there. It's friendship only for me. :)

  • Hey there, you have a pretty good goal with your walking. I have been logging my miles (running) to see how long it takes me to run the circumference of Ohio (bout 930-950 miles). I am newer to MFP, so add me and maybe we can set competition goals!

    Setting goals are great...And a friendly compition is even better...lol....
    I know you from back in the day and I know you can do it :-) I have my kids help me.....like today my 6 year old daughter says *Mom I haved you my rice crispy treat because it is only 90 calories*....She is too cute...My 12 year old son does the same thing and they both think I look great.....My Husband is trying to use MFP...but he is my midnight snacker..lol...
    Anyways...Good luck on your journey :-) If I can do it...You can do it..
