I'm eating the same things every single day. It's getting boring. Share with me your great food finds! Yummy snacks? Satisfying meals? As for my contribution: PB2! It's powdered peanut butter - I know sounds gross, but you mix it with water (and a little Truvia or Stevia for me b/c I like it a little sweet) and it becomes peanut butter that is 85% less fat and calories than regular peanut butter and it is AWESOME! i can eat it with a spoon!

I really like McDonalds Maple and Fruit Oatmeal. It satisfies my desire for something sweet but the calories are not that bad for breakfast. It is also so quick to run through the drive through on the way to work. (Im not normally an oatmeal eater, but really like this oatmeal with the apples, raisins, cranberries)

I now instead of a sweet snack when I need something to curb my appetite, slowly drink a small 5.5 oz V8
spicey hot.vegetable juice. It is really good to me (like a bloody mary with the alcohol) and satifies my taste buds. It only 30 calories and I suppose is reasonably good for you.

Jolly time popcorn. Also made a delicious appetizer. It's basically a tortellini caprese skewer. Cook cheese-filled tortellini according to pkg directions, adding a little olive oil to boiling water. After they are cooked, drain and rinse in cold water. On a skewer, string on a cherry tomato (cut in half), a tortellini, a cherry tomato, another tortellini, one mini mozzerella ball, and finish with a cherry tomato. Make as many skewers as you desire, marinate in a balsamic dressing, turning once or twice...marinate 2 hours. Pitch remaining dressing. These are little bites. I have gotten slot of compliments on them. Make them for a party and save some snacks for yourself.

For breakfast, I make "egg mugs" in the microwave with 3 whites & one whole egg, a wedge of laughing cow light swiss & some Jimmy Dean pre-cooked turkey sausage crumbles plus a rinsed can of mushrooms. Or some Greek yogurt with berries and honey. On the run, I get a Starbucks egg white, feta & spinach wrap.

For lunch, I sometimes make a shrimp Quesadilla with pre-cooked shrimp, an Ole- Xtreme Wellness High Fiber, Low Carb Tortilla, reduced fat fiesta cheese and sometimes some diced fresh tomatoes on top.
I use Sabra Spinach & artichoke hummus for everything. I fill hard boiled egg whites with it, mix it with Tuna and a little dijon mustard and make a wrap with that & some grilled asparagus on the same Ole Tortillas. It's also a great dip for carrots, etc.

I snack on a mix of plain natural unsalted almonds and Planter's Pumpkin Spice Almonds.

I had Chicken Chili for dinner last nite and I also like to make Taco Soup.
Hope that helps a little :)

Oops, forgot another favorite lunch time meal that is quick; easy and delicious. An apple pecan chicken salad from Wendy's with the Pomgranent dressing (yum), everyone that I have told about his loves it. It fills me up for lunch and I can make it to dinner.

I love Lean Pockets. They come in a variety of flavors so I never feel like I am in a rut, plus they taste sinful with all the cheese and sauces. I also like to pick up a Papa Murphy's Herb Meditteranean Chicken Delight pizza when I am feeling bored and tempted to indulge in something bad for me. Two slices of the family size (1/4 of the pizza) is about 600 calories.
  • For breakfast I normally just eat plain oatmeal with raisens and a tsp of brown sugar cause its fast but once in a while i will take 2 egg whites, chopped onions and peppers, fresh spinach, turkey bacon, a tbsp of salsa and mix it all together cook it up tastes so good
For lunch or dinner I cut up cooked chicken tenders, brown rice and broccoli and put about a tbsp of kikoman teryaki sauce all over it gives it a different flavor with the sauce. I also take chicken breast or tenders and bake it in diced no salt tomatoes, mrs dash no salt seasonings and diced onion, peppers and celery till it is so tender it falls apart makes your chicken so yummy gives it a great flavor. I made some lasagna cupcakes about a week ago those were awesome too.
As for snacks i normally just eat some fruit or 100 calorie pack kettle corn popcorn or almonds

Hope this helps you alittle with your food rut

My current favorite breakfast is Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Oatmeal. It's filling helps curb my sweet tooth in the mornings.

    1/2 old fashioned oats
    1 cup water
    1 tsp brown sugar
    1 tbsp peanut butter
    1/2 tbsp mini chocolate chips

Mix the oats, water and brown sugar in a large bowl and microwave for 2 minutes 45 seconds and then stir in peanut butter. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top and you're good to go.

It equals out to about 245 calories for the whole thing and It's delicious!
