You can actually eat/drink anything you want, so long as you can fit it into your calorie goals for the day. Sounds crazy right? Eat whatever you want? But in all truth, you really can. Now, when you start seeing how quickly your daily calories get used up, you might decide to start making different choices so that you can eat more food for the number of calories you're allowed to have. Tea itself is calorie-free I think, but if it is sweetened with sugar then it has calories and needs to be logged and counted in your day. If your glass of tea is 75 calories, those are not free calories that you don't have to count, you still need to log it into your diary b/c every calorie adds up, and even small things can add up quickly if you're not careful.

Nothing is off-limits. You just have to count everything you consume and try to keep close to the calorie goal that the site set for you. If you can stay close to that calorie goal each day (a little bit under or a little bit over is fine - think of it as a target you're trying to hit as close to as possible) you should see results.

    Good luck. :-)

I drink a ton of green iced tea i brew up in my iced tea maker. I dont add sugar to it. A lot of the store bought stuff has high fructose corn syrup and other junk in it. So you may want to take a look at the calories (if there are any) in the brand you are drinking.

Yes... any drink counts as your water/fluids --- but if it has calories etc. just track it in your journal too.
I almost never drink plain water and I'm doing just fine! I drink tons of other fluids...

Sounds like it should not be an issue for you at all then! It's tough for everyone, you have an added concern with being diabetic, but just keep at it and don't give up.
  • i use unsweetened Nestea which has zero calories and then use generic equal or nothing at all. Unsweetened Nestea is a free food
