I'm pretty terrible at cooking/recipes. But my go-to smoothie is:
1 frozen banana (chopped up pre-freezing)
2/3 cup of frozen strawberries
1 scoop of Aria protein powder
and honey to sweeten a bit
fill with water.
It's yummy, super filling, simple, and only about 250 calories. Of course, strawberry-banana is my favorite flavor. A lot of people prefer to use almond milk or coconut milk to fill, but I hate the taste. Water is good for me, and the frozen fruits still make it thick so that I don't feel like I'm drinking fruity water. Some people also substitute greek/strained yogurts to thicken.
It's pretty sweet, too, which is nice for me since I have a hardcore sweet tooth.0 -
1 raw banana
about half a cup of water
handful of ice
1/2 cup frozen peaches
1/2 cup frozen mangos
about a handful raw spinach.
Very green looking but actually sweet tasting.0 -

Berry Smoothie
1/2 cup Vanilla Yogurt (Greek yogurt, or your favorite low-fat yogurt)
1/2 Skim Milk
1 cup frozen raspberries, or frozen strawberries/blueberries, ect.
1 packet Splenda
Blend well. Sometimes, I run it through a strainer to get the raspberry seeds out.0 -

I do frozen berries (1 cup), sometimes with a fresh banana, chocolate soy milk (1 cup) and protein powder (2 scoops). If I can find a good vegan yoghurt I like I'll probably start adding that as well. I like my smoothies to be really thick.0

My smoothies are 1 cup frozen fruit (favorite is dole tropical blend), 1/2 cup silk light soy milk, 1/2 cup nonfat plain yogurt or greek yogurt, and 2 tbsp sf flavored torani or davinci syrup. with the tropical blend, my favorite syrup is orange, with the mixed berries, my favorite is chocolate macadamia nut.
I use 1 cup fruit so i can get my full fruit serving in for the day. Using yogurt and milk gets 2 dairy servings for the day. the greek yogurt provides more protein than regular yogurt, but i was able to get a big tub of nancy's organic plain nonfat yogurt for pretty cheap, so that worked better for me, if i can make it to costco, i'll grab large tubs of greek yogurt there. the reason i use soy milk is i have a slight milk allergy, so when i use regular nonfat milk and yogurt, i break out, but using soy milk and yogurt seems fine. That's why i do what i do, but smoothies are pretty versatile as you can see and you can fit them in your day any way you like!0 -
I use 1 scoop of chocolate or vanilla protein powder, 2 tbs peanut butter, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk. Sometimes I add baby spinach. You can't even taste it.0

I use 1/2 cup greek yogurt, 1 cup Dole mixed frozen fruit, 1/2 a fresh or frozen banana cut in chunks, and a little of whatever juice I have in the refrigerator or a little skim milk. '

Spinach, pineapple, banana, milk, orange juice, yogurt. That was one of my favourite combos. I don't have specific amounts because I just threw random amounts in until it was the right consistency.
My basic smoothie always starts with spinach and milk/yogurt and banana. Then I just add in random fruits (I've done frozen strawberries, pineapple, plum, peach, saskatoon berries, blueberries) and I like to add in vanilla extract, flaxseeds, cinnamon, peanut butter, coconut oil, etc.0 -
I have several smoothie recipes, one of my favorite and most simple;
8oz non-dairy milk
1 TPS Peanut Butter
1 Frozen Bananna
I use the non-dairy milk because wifee is lactose intolerate
I love PeanutButter, yhea its a protein also
I second the opinion that a smoothie blender is a great investment if you plan on makeing smoothies often, I use a Magic Bullet.0
