My heart rate gets up to 180 when I do my 30 day shred. Is this too high. I feel fine though. I am 35 female 137 lbs 5'4 and no health problems that I know of.

If you aren't dizzy or passing out, then you should be okay. Your assumed max heart rate is 85bpm.

  • Thanks! I have gotten a little lightheaded before from exercising though in the past. I guess that means I need to slow down a little?

Or change your breathing pattern. Many of my new clients breathe wrong when exercising.

  • Should I breath slower or faster? Jillian Michaels is always saying to breath in a way I find to be too fast for me. I try to breath more slowly if I can. I am sure I am breathing wrong though.
