elliptical trainer

Hello! last week i just started using the elliptical trainer and I have been doing it mon-fri for 30 min. And i had lost two inches from my waist but actually gained 3 pounds :sad: is that like suppose to happen? Is anyone else doing the elliptical trainer? If so do yal have any tips or weight loss success from it

The elliptical is a great machine to do your cardio on!
It burns the most calories because you are using your legs and arms at the same time AND it is easy on your joints. (unlike running on the treadmill)
Your weight gain might be because you have put on some muscle.... Don't go by the number on the scale, it's better to go by how your clothes are fitting.

You didn't gain that much muscle, muscle just takes up less space than fat, but it's most likely water weight. Your muscles might be retaining water from the new exercise, and as long as you keep drinking the water you should it will go away soon.0
